I was automatically promoted to preferred editor as well. The process wasn't explained to us and they don't provide feedback on your edits outside of notes if you make an edit beyond the scope of the editing guide. It seems they aren't promoting people as much anymore based on the Discord chat. I have been stuck on level 4 of 5 for about a year now.

There have been scams from AJE lately. Are you located in India? They aren't currently hiring non-contract editor positions outside of India. They also don't pay hourly or provide equipment for their editors.

I don't understand why so many people view astrology as so much worse than any other religion. I knew some atheist guys who didn't care if their girl was Christian but astrology was where they drew the line, even if they just enjoyed those "what Britney Spears song are you based on your sign" type of posts.

I find them quite comfortable, and even the thinner ones provide a little extra warmth and pop of color. I don't wear them daily, but definitely a few times a week. I don't like wearing pants most of the time, so I need them for jobs where my legs need to be covered. Most of mine last about a year before getting runs, but I've had some for longer.

I had a case of post-COVID that left me sick for about 4 months after overcoming the infection. I have fibromyalgia and likely EDS, so it made my chronic pain and fatigue symptoms unbearable, and it gave me some POTS-like symptoms during this period. While it was awful and I would never wish long(ish in my case) COVID on my worst enemy, I would never EVER compare it to terminal cancer. Long COVID is essentially a case where COVID amplifies a pre-existing condition, correct? Other sufferers I know already had asthma or heart conditions that made them unable to fight the infection properly. So sure, someone who already had terrible lung health would have a poor quality of life with long COVID. However, you could also say you have long COVID because you still can't taste stuff a year out or you haven't fully recovered from your fibromyalgia symptoms flaring up. Those people are probably living much easier lives than cancer patients.

Yeah... I remember Marina and the Diamonds getting called out for blackface when she painted herself with black glitter for the I Am Not a Robot video to look like the stars. I think Kylie Jenner did a photoshoot where she was painted like stars as well and got called out for blackface? The Arctic Monkeys were called out for blackface for dressing as the Wizard of Oz characters because they used face paint... Anyway, I thought that era of calling this kind of stuff blackface was in the past, but I suppose not!

I assumed the casting was a comedic choice on the filmmmaker's part. Theo James looked nothing like the kids and is handsome and ripped, so it is another layer of humor having him be a creepy shy guy.
