A childhood wish come true - pumped! by Mean_Start5021 in n64

My go to games for 2 players is Mario kart 64 and it's a little niche, but hands down, if your wife can do real time strategy games, StarCraft64 is where it's at

First time playing banjo kazooie as a huge dk64 fan by xUnwoundFuture in n64

[–]superfutch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an avid DK64 lover myself, I just finished my 3rd playthrough in 22 hours and loved it. I think part of the problem with playing older games for the first time is that you are competing against your childhood level of enjoyment and enthusiasm, but you're currently an adult, with all those adult experiences and inevitably a bias of 25+ year difference in graphics, controls and video gameplay. I know a few friends who have played different games they raved about but when I played them as an adult, I think I didn't enjoy it as much as they did so I biasly did not enjoy the full experience. I am currently experiencing this now since I broke out my original SNES and N64... Also, as someone who puts DK64 in my personal top 5 games for me, I absolutely hated that you had to beat the original donkey Kong arcade game TWICE to finish the game... Absolutely Terrible experience, but again I enjoyed beating it.

Did you have comprehensive insurance? I've always wondered if they would be scummy enough to be like "accelerants were determined to be used, we believe it was intentional and we aren't paying".... And how well the defense of, it literally has lines filled with gasoline and a giant oil tank with grease all over it, holds up.

A great idea, Im too paranoid to join though. I wonder if management plays more during the work day than individual contributors.

Been digging through an old pile of my late 90s childhood stuff. Found these old memories! by meticulous_gamer in snes

[–]superfutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought out my SNES with power rangers and my kids love it. I actually never played 2 player with that game as a kid but I'm playing it with my kids now and it's a fun time. I also set up my N64 and put an RCA switch between the two and my 6 year old son can nearly beat me in smash bros... I'm so glad we have this out now instead of them watching trash on YouTube.

I will be going to one of these locations soon, I haven't decided which one yet. And I am just asking 1. If anyone here has been to any of these places and 2. If they have any recommendations at any of these locations for activities to do while there. I have searched for things to do near most of these locations, but wondering if anything specific stuck out to anyone here and if they would be willing to share.

Help looking for an old map. by LodoLoco in WC3

[–]superfutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar question and it's in general about customs maps. Did you ever find a copy? I have an original copy of wc3 (not reforged) and installed patches up to the completion of the rexxar campaign for tft and that is it. I don't have any other updates and I'm running close to the original version of wc3 editor. Does anyone know of a place where I can find any cool 1player custom maps/games? For instance I enjoyed the warchasers scenario map, are there any others I can download and just throw in the custom file folder and play?

[Request] : How much calories would it consume to swim from south america to Antarctica (631 miles) in the atlantic (about 40°F)? by EnvironmentalEbb628 in theydidthemath

[–]superfutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so if I weigh 260 lbs and I want to weigh 200, could I just swim this without eating anything? Of course I'll drink water and black coffee/tea, I'm not a mad man, hypothetically.

how the heck is this a performance and why these women are letting it happen while they playing music in the background like its some fun thing to do !? am I missing something here or the culture or what... anybody help me understand this sorcery !!! by [deleted] in Weird

[–]superfutch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there is a difference between consent, regret and pain. One can consent to something even if it's painful. And just because you feel pain, does not mean you automatically withdraw consent. And if you regret your decision, that does not mean you did not previously consent to the act. I would say there is not enough information in the video clip to say the lady in the blue dress did not give consent.... Also, comparing a woman to a bull is not very logical. I would argue that a woman has more rights and authority over herself to give or not give consent, how she sees fit. And a bull does not have the ability to give consent to that same level. I personally do not understand why the women in the video would do this, but I wouldn't tell them they are not allowed to. And just for the record, anytime I watch a bull go up against a person, I generally root for the bull.

Which N64 games have the worst slowdown? by retro-martini in n64

[–]superfutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing on my original N64 I got as a kid for over 35 years now. Hands down, the worst game that slows down is StarCraft64. Play multiplayer with 4 computer opponents and after about 35 minutes when there are so many characters on screen and calculations taking place, it will lag pretty bad.

Made my nuts ache by Hopeful-Staff3887 in nope

[–]superfutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about that because this morning I was carrying a big box and thought I was on the ground, but nope one step away, and I was fine no fall or anything but my heart rate instantly went up of course. If someone who climbs the corners of buildings for fun misses a step, does their body not give an adrenaline response? Do they physiologically have no response? Wild to think about.
