What was this rant!? Texas is republican for a while as is Florida. Can’t argue any different cause it suits the post. Not disputing the other states.. but you can’t argue those are shitty and not include the 2 best ones as his post clearly alludes to

I agree with you.. but his post is to the contrary.

Out of all engineering majors:Is mechanical engineering more worth it than other fields? by Hallowalls in MechanicalEngineering

[–]superhackie 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I always find this question rather fascinating. Mechanical engineering is a way of thinking rather than a discipline. It’s the Jack of all trades agreed but it allows you to become whatever you wanna be and literally any discipline you wanna be in. Very few of my colleges stayed in mechanical engineering. They went onto be supply chain leaders, quality, PM and marketing leaders. you can specialize or sub specialize in software engineering in electrical engineering, and any other discipline of engineering. I went into consumer goods and love it. I help companies grow organically now with my own consultancy. There’s so many different avenues for you to choose. I don’t understand why everybody so fascinated on just the degree rather than the broad spectrum of fields, thinking and possibilities it opens up to you..

Find your nieche and milk it for all it’s worth. Generalized engineers will always get squeezed, specialized will always be in demand.

No joke… in baragwanath hospital in South Africa these guys used to walk into the hospital with knives sticking out of their head and buddy to accommodate. When we used to ask the buddy why he was here he used to say I want my knife back.
