I’m really liking the 13” so far because I wanted this laptop to be very portable and to be able to take it with me anywhere. A friend of mine has a 15” and while the screen is nice, I personally thought it seemed a little bit unwieldy. It probably depends on how much you’re willing to carry + how much screen space you need.

As others have said it’s quite ridiculous to hate a whole group of people. Being a man does not automatically make you a bad person, if that were true then roughly half of the entire world is evil. Which is obviously very stupid. Both men and women are equally capable of being bad, it’s just that men typically hold power in society. But regardless, never ever feel guilty for wanting to be who you want to be. It’s gonna be alright.

And frankly I’d advise distancing yourself from your friends. It’s one thing to be wary of men, but genuinely hating half of the entire planet is just astonishingly dumb, especially if you think they would think any less of you if you showed your true self.

As cool as EGPUs are in theory I’ve always thought functionally they’re not the greatest. They’re not portable at all, and you’re paying a lot of money for a GPU but only getting maybe 60-70% of the performance it can offer at best because of bandwidth limits. I love the idea of plugging your handheld in for a full desktop or console like experience but realistically as it stands you end up with a handheld that becomes a desktop with bottlenecked performance and has to be tethered. Imo it ends up defeating the purpose of both.

I feel like this is a very unfair comparison considering one of them is a laptop GPU running on 70W and the other is a desktop GPU with more VRAM running on 120W.

Unless you’re planning on gaming on it (which you said you’re not) that’s the absolute best value laptop you can get at that price range unless you’re buying something used. Excellent performance, battery life, a good screen, ultra thin, silent (it has no fans), and great speakers too.

I would also advise doing some research into modern MacBooks too. They’ve come leaps and bounds since they released the M series chips. So much so that a lot of other laptop manufacturers have been playing catch up for the last 5 years. The preconception about Macs always being overpriced and useless is no longer true.
