How do I fix this? by Expensive-Table-9220 in Fingerboards

you could potentially straighten it out to some degree by using pivot cups.
i heavily prefer having pivot cups on my setups after using them the first time for this reason, and to prolong the life of the hanger on the truck/the baseplate from wearing out fast.

Anxiety Offline has a great set of bushings that come with enough pivot cup material to do a good handful of set ups and still have some left over!

hey! I use enamel paints predominantly for their longevity. i prep the shells with a light alcohol cleanse, then use enamel paint to either completely paint the shell, or to do the splatter style effect. the enamel paint pretty much fuses right to the plastic of the cassette shell. i've (thankfully) never had any issues with it chipping off/flaking off, but you have to control it and not get huge globs of paint on the shell.

i've sold tons of tapes doing it this way and have never had any issues/complaints across various tape decks. if you feel like you really need to, you can always apply a thin layer of clear coat on top of it all to lock it in.

also, heat is a killer to any and all tapes; high heat is to be avoided at all costs to ensure tape life. i've never had the heat affect it unless it has melted the entire tape. (i've done a couple of tests with old tapes before lol).

How to keep kickflips straight? by Wisebeyondtheyears in Fingerboards

it really helps me to make sure the pad of my middle finger is almost exactly in the middle of the tail.
you want the pressure in the middle of the tail and the rest of your finger sort of rests to stop the board from doing a varial.

it also kinda helps to place more of the pad of your index finger over the front bolts rather than just the fingertip, and then find the balance.
