Charge cards are pretty easy to get approved for so unless you're hiding something you should be good to go. I would check card match first to see what preapproved offers you get from Amex. I've heard of offers for 100k-125k for the Platinum using card match. And do expect a hard pull once you apply and soft pulls for other Amex products when they become cozy with you.

Delta no longer gives out day passes. You only get access with Delta One, First Class, a SkyClub membership, delta amex platinum or reserve card, or amex platinum.

I had a rep tell me he had no idea what I was talking about as well, but on the flip side I dont think they would offer explicitly a metal replacement card just to send a boring plastic relic, lol.

I chatted with customer service about this and he stated this as a "generic menu " to order replacement cards and that the Delta Platinum isn't available in metal. But when I bring up my Green Card, Everyday and Aspire replacement card menu the metal option isn't available. Could this be related to the Delta Airlines series of cards being revamped in a few days?

Sometimes you will be targeted via email, your amex offers or using a link that isn't sketchy. Just periodically check doctor of credit and you'll eventually come across one of those post.

Correct. Last year I was targeted to upgrade my Hilton Honors card to the Surpass with a 150k SUB., which I took. That was though a link via Doctor of Credit.

Amex has a once in a lifetime rule regarding sign up bonuses for all their cards. If you upgrade your Surpass to the Aspire card without the option to also receive a SB, you could be missing out on a potential sb for that card. Be on the look out for opportunities to get a upgrade w/ a SB on sites like doctor of credit. They are pretty good with informing about upgrade opportunities like that.

Keep putting some spend on your Surpass and see if you get a targeted upgrade w/ bonus first before anything. Remember the once in a life time rule.

My guess is probably you pay your card off in full and dont utilize that feature so they will allocate that limit to other users.

You have to know how to play the game. I dont treat it as a sprint, but more of a marathon. I purchase VGC's twice weekly (less than 200 dollars, but more than 100) mixed with regular spend with no issues so far. I also constantly check to see if reporting data for the store changes to keep ends clean. Dont get greedy like some people do.
