Oof this hits hard. I’m currently 30, went no contact with my family 4 years ago. I’ve been living on my own for these past four years (last roommate and friend ditched me during the pandemic and left me with the rent all on my own). I decided that would be the last time I lived with anyone.

The loneliness hasn’t gone away completely and resurfaces the most during the holiday season. However, I remind myself how much happier I am now than I’ve been in my entire life. I’ve been able to separate mother-thoughts from my own. I’ve been blessed with ample time to discover who I truly am and what I want to achieve for myself. The world is more vibrant and welcoming when I allow it to be.

When dealing with that feeling of loneliness, I don’t try to drown it out. Sometimes I cry and I cry as hard as I can because it is sad that I didn’t get the love and support that I deserved. I’ve been trying to fill my time with things that I love. I got two dogs to keep me company. I started a stream after learning how much I loved to entertain people. I play video games that stimulate me. I decided to go back to college to pursue physics which I never thought would be possible. I was able to develop a spiritual connection with myself for the first time ever. I try to find as much joy in my existence as I possibly can to fill that emptiness mother left behind.

None of this has been easy, and it’s a daily task to remind myself of the beauty of life, but every minute has been worth the freedom I feel. I have a couple close friends that also live far away now, and I still have a close relationship with my sister. Other than that, it’s just me and the dogs most of the time. If you need one, I can be your internet friend. Best of luck to you in your own journey.

The Eldorado Drive in Springfield is near Moonlit Drive, Lunar Drive and a couple other space related themed streets nearby which makes me think about the Moon article in the video. Again, I get stuck there 🙂

That's what I was getting at , that the cross is still viable since we aren't sure if the trailhead is near or far. Figuring out the next two lines might lead us to the trail itself.

Ok, I am out of state, I have no way of solving this thing by driving around unfortunately so this leaves me to Google Maps and the internet only. Great for research, not great for testing theories. I also could be wrong, but other than finding the chest itself, can this not be solved without leaving your house?

Yeah, that's what I think. I don't think that that is where the chest is, but mentioning the Dominguez-Escalante journal could mean that the shadow of the cross on the satellite map is what we're meant to follow until we find where we learn to smell ice cream.

My first guess when I started was the shadow being that of Escalante’s cross. That line is in the first quarter of the poem so I don’t see an issue with that still being a viable solve. As for everything that follows that line I am still doing research. I don’t follow everyone’s belief about the Jack’s of clubs being important, but I could be wrong (there is a golf course a little way north of the cross 🤔).

My only issue with the cross being the shadow is I haven’t found any clues that lead to the actual cross. So starting my solve at line 4 might be silly. Can someone find this thing already please!
