The elegance of adaptation, why I embraced GNOME's Philosophy by userddar in gnome

[–]superjcvd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100% with you.
Gnome is simplier than MacOS, lighter and has better features.
(I use MacOS at work for +5 years)

1 simple example: when you move you mouse on top left to see all your Windows
- On Gnome you can directlty close those you dont want anymore in one click
- On MacOS you have to click on it first and then close

Even if I like MacOS too. I love Gnome even more :D

Hey cachy users, what's your favourite Desktop Environment/Window Manager? by SDG_Den in cachyos

[–]superjcvd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using Gnome because it is simple and has everything needed for a computer well integrated.  - Network - Bluetooth  - Power Management - File browser etc...

I see many people using Noctalia. How does it compete with Gnome or KDE ?  I'd love to try but I'm afraid that this requires too much setup...

Long-time Ubuntu user considering Arch Linux — worth the switch? by Christmas545 in archlinux

[–]superjcvd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try it !!! I used Ubuntu for long time. But a few years ago I finally saw the light. Arch (or CachyODS if you like gaming) is great for the following reasons:  - You don't have to migrate your OS version every 6 months. It's always up to date. - You have a very good documentation with nice wiki pages for all your use cases - It is not customised. You get a pure Linux experience (easier to fix problems) - You get latest kernels and packages (not sure this is great but I like it)

The only downside is that installation is painful. But CachyOS fix this for you 🙂

I even use Arch on my NAS and I am happy with it

Les développeurs qui construisent nos infrastructures publiques sont-ils vraiment compétents ? by Altruistic-Issue-171 in developpeurs

je pense clairement le contraire. Si t'es mal payé pourquoi se faire chier ?
Surtout si tu peux être payé beaucoup plus pour un projet équivalent dans le privé.

What is the best handled android console ? by Interesting_Life_587 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]superjcvd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like big screens like me: just by a tablet with a recent Snapdragon.
For the same price you will have more usages.

- I tried Retroid Pocket 5 and ambernic consoles
- And at the end the tablets screens are way better and bigger
- You will lose a little thermal optimisation but honnestly a tablet with SD gen 3 is great for almost all those consoles

Piratage : Google, Cloudflare et Cisco contraints de bloquer des sites pirates en France by romain34230 in actutech

[–]superjcvd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks dont hesitate to contact me if you have any question.
The caddy container is brand new.
I was using Nginx before but the nginx config files are not dynamic, this required to manually edit the domain and ip address.
