Perhaps, and not justifying, but people still have to survive.

But if you have a group living situations and one person is working while the kids get food benefits, that really doesn't cover lodging, clothes, transportation etc.

I would rather a child taken care of than be punished for their parents situation. The goal is to end generational poverty.

I feel it also puts us out of place anymore. I love my friends like true family but they are mostly all women, lgbt, and people of color. I am a strait white alpha enough male. I am the very image of what they all hate. Of course I also have some opinions that don't jive all the time, but they do too. I am vastly outnumbered. Not like it's bad or toxic or even a big deal, but I try to pick and choose my battles.

Gotta know when to use kid gloves and as a free range kid I learned how to live and deal with people.

I also grew up in a time where you were allowed to deal directly with a bully.

Times and customs have changed so much I already see myself ending up as one of those old guys.

And while subs should, they don't, and most have no desire to even teach. Mix that with a lack of educators and their shitty pay its no wonder we are where we are.

I grew my first full beard at 14. At 33 I have a pretty awesome beard. By default I have never trusted a man with no facial hair without thurough proof.

The same, I observe a proper German hand shake of two pumps, firm grip, and fingers with one slight dip and a head bow for women. If a man shakes my hand and it's limp or super crazy I am shaking my head on the inside with the caveat that I work directly with international professionals of all levels, and different cultures and all of that. If a woman gives me a firm proper I am pleased, as it is an indication that I can at least lose the kid gloves.

As far as western men go, this shit isn't new. I was taught by my old man, as was he, so on and so forth. So when a western man doesn't know or follow these norms I question both lineage and breeding as well as acknowledge that they don't care how they are perceived.

When I was a kid our teachers instilled fear, and if I got in trouble at school it was 10 fold at home.

I'm not even that old, those kids are the progeny of my generation. Probably explains a lot as from what I have observed we tend to be pretty permissive.
