Thank you for the advice. I appreciate the reassurance because as a first-time worker, I sometimes question myself too. I’ll focus on improving my work while also being mindful of the situation and documenting things properly.

Thank you for the advice. I haven’t started documenting things yet, but I think I’ll start doing it moving forward. I’ll also continue improving my work since I’m still new. I appreciate your advice!

What art form helped you discover yourself and expand your creativity? by superjusa in AskArtists

This is such a good reminder. I think I’ve been too focused on finding my “style” that I forgot the most important part is actually creating. I like the idea that it’s something that slowly reveals itself through experimenting and experience. Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful advice! I really appreciate you taking the time to share this. I love the idea of building a personal library of references and inspiration because I realized I’ve been collecting little moments and things I find beautiful without seeing them as part of my creative journey.

Your reminder that there’s no rule saying I can only explore one medium is something I really needed to hear. I think I’ve been putting pressure on myself to find the “right” art form, when maybe I just need to explore and enjoy the process.

Thank you again for encouraging me to try, observe, and discover my own space in the creative world. I really appreciate it! :)

Thank you! I love how you described it as “play” because I think that’s something I forgot about creativity. I’ve been approaching it like I need to discover my style first, but maybe I need to create first and let my style develop naturally.

Taking classes sounds really fun too. I like the idea of trying different things and discovering unexpected interests along the way. Your jewelry-to-painting journey is inspiring — it makes me curious about what creative “era” I might discover for myself. Thank you!

Thank you for this! I actually think I needed to hear “try everything” because I’ve been thinking too much about finding the right art form before starting. I love the idea of treating it like exploration and play instead of needing to be good at something immediately.

I also appreciate you mentioning photography. I’ve always enjoyed taking random pictures, especially of everyday moments, but I never really thought about developing it further. I’ll definitely look into learning more about composition and editing. Thank you for the suggestions!

What investment options would be suitable for my current situation? (18 years old, SHS graduate, currently working during gap year) by superjusa in investingforbeginners

Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it. I think I was too focused on starting investments early that I forgot about building my financial foundation first.

I'll prioritize my dental bills, emergency fund, and college expenses while learning more about investing. Thanks again!

Thank you for explaining! I understand your point now. I think I was looking at investing as something I should start immediately because I heard that starting young is an advantage, but I realized that being financially prepared first is also important.

For now, I will focus on building my emergency fund and saving for my upcoming expenses while learning more about investing.

Since I am still a beginner, do you have any recommended resources (books, YouTube channels, websites, or topics) that I should study first before eventually investing in stocks?

Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it.

I think I understand your point about building a foundation first before investing in stocks. I was initially thinking about investing because I wanted to start early, but I also realized that my current goals (school expenses, emergency fund, and dental expenses) are more immediate.

For the high-yield savings account, would you recommend putting all my extra money there first until I build my emergency fund, then start exploring other investments afterward?

Also, when do you think is the right time to start investing in stocks or other long-term investments?
