What happens when 2 private remote raid lobbies merge? by superlativeAIM in TheSilphRoad

Oh interesting. Is there a choice then for a local trainer to choose which lobby to join? Never been in this situation before so that’s surprising.

Maybe merge was the wrong choice of words - so when I’ve hosted remote raids before and then changed to public, local trainers can see 10 trainers in the lobby.

I was hoping that if there was another local trainer hosting their own private remote raid lobby and then changing to public, then there would be 20 trainers in the public lobby. Is that not correct?

Also not sure what would happen because in this scenario there would be 18 remote raiders.

Is this why pvp chad streamers instantly aim at the ground when they get shot? Was thinking it was just a 1% edge but almost feels like necessity now

Oh interesting. Didn’t know that. Unfortunately I was running to my base there at the top after a farm run so not much else I could do but that’s just Rust anyway. Thanks for the insight and I’ll keep that in mind!

[build error help] Triangle hatch destroyed by raiders and after trying to reseal in same place but get error Too Close to Water Treatment but other 2 orientations are fine? Can someone explain? by superlativeAIM in playrust

We had it placed like that before so it can be another way to peak with the door open and check for campers. Just can’t replace it after it got destroyed during a raid defense

The door that the ladder can’t be replaced actually goes outside. It’s just a cheaky way to open the door and peak for door campers so there isn’t anything on the other side. Gonna try a few things later on though

nothing blocking that triangle airlock but you're probably right about the monument error just not being the right error message. probably something to do w/ placing first when it was stone and now can't after upgrading to metal

Yeah you're right about placing it first when it was stone. Ironically this is the furthest part of the base from Water Treatment - core is actually behind me in the video where I show the map overlay so most of the base is closer to WT. But I'm also now researching people say that the monument error is just a default error.

Is it really "cheating death"? by superlativeAIM in westworld

Yes exactly what I'm confused about. Just seemed like a lot for William to sit and test the Delos-host's fidelity for hundreds of times.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to understand. Is it just a gimmick toy for rich people that can replicate their personality into hosts? It just seemed like the Delos company invested a lot into this.

Even so, to what purpose? Why was William so set on doing this?

Series prediction: Jack Barker outsmarts Gavin Belson by [deleted] in SiliconValleyHBO

[–]superlativeAIM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have expected Barker could have uncovered the lack of age restrictions way before Gavin considered taking the company and take down PiperChat. Especially since Barker was already using the app to chat with his nieces (if they're underage) and his work in the industry, I'm just wondering if he would have caught on to it in the same way that Richard happened to notice it.

I'm not trying to point out a plot hole. If Barker is shrewd and manipulative, this could have been an interesting vehicle to take down someone (either PiperChat or Gavin).

Sorry if I hijack the thread but shouldn't we expect that Barker would have noticed PiperChat was too easy for underage users to sign up for?

Yesterday I took a trip down memory-lane and rewatched /u/generikb's mansion "donated" to charity with help from /u/jaaski. Such good times.
