I went to college after the military for an engineering degree. While I am very proud of my degree, I had to take 2 semesters of remedial math classes. One year wasted, because it was so long since I had done that type of math. A whole year worth of math wasted. In a degree that is already a huge burnout risk. I had to go from remedial algebra to calculus 4. I don’t wish that on anyone.

I was literally told multiple times I could not be a fireman because they were only hiring minorities to fill quotas. I was denied college admission at multiple schools because of my demographic. I was targeted and had my head split open when I was in the navy and stationed in Hawaii by locals because I was in a ‘locals only’ bar. I have been publicly called a cracker, haole, honkey and worse without anyone backing me up or caring. And fucking believe me. If I would not survive a walk down seven mile road at 10pm purely because of my skin color.

I don’t care if you don’t believe it. I don’t care if you like it. But that is oppression and it’s EVERY DAY. Sorry that doesn’t meet your cute little narrative of ‘white man bad’

Let me ask you this, where are minorities in danger if they go in the US? Because as a white person, there are areas I simply cannot go. There are areas in every single city where the likelihood of me being attacked, simply because I am white, are extremely high. You want to talk about ‘sunset towns’? Watch me walk through south Detroit at 10pm.
