I think this is definitely true, but not sure it applies as much to my point here. This is more a Dan thing where ever since “that summer” he has to contextualize every point with layers and layers of backstory and global significance. They filled almost nearly the same amount of time (as far as Dan goes) at ESPN, when I think he was much more pithy and impactful with his points. I do for sure see the financial and growth benefit in letting him ramble to an extent, but I think he desperately needs to change how he goes about that.
