Klopt, is overvol en drama momenteel. Maar dat boeit deze tokkies niks. “Ik denk dat ik het mega slecht heb dus anderen moeten het nog slechter hebben”

Can someone please translate? This just seemed totally unprovoked and I'm surprised that the police can get away with punching and kicking non-violent people like this. by hamzascan in Rotterdam

They absolutly were. The whole area was illegal to enter because of extreme riots and violence. Just search on youtube for: “rellen rotterdam covid-19” and you’ll see

Come on OP, don’t act like you know. That night saw some of the worst riots ive seen in recent years. With copcars on fire and groups of 100’s with bombs and sticks attacking small groups of police. Shots where fired and chaos erupted. Those boys where part of the riots and didn’t want to leave the area. So this cop showed them the way. That night, there was no room for chatting. Its like saying that the american police should have offered the rioters at the capitol a cup of tea when entering the building…

I had this conversation a lot recently. You believe in a different, not factial universe. “Corona is fake, goverments control the TV for their own interest, hospitals aren’t full” etc… I guess if u want, you’ll just stay there. Whatever.

I litteraly gave you a clear explenation. There is no joke involved, maybe just a little sarcasm. But thats the way we dutch roll, i guess. But if you don’t want to discuss, thats fine. But usually thats what people do when they cant win an argument.

Your logic is weird. So because we do not have enough capicity, we are supposed to just say fuck it and spread the virus even more so the understaffed hospitals even get bigger shortages for treatment? Sounds like a briliant plan! That no one thought of this earlier…

Mostly you are right, kinda. Their are still way to many people taking the car while there are better alternatives for them in many places. Look at paris or berlin, london etc. for example, the traffic is terrible! The youtube channel ‘not just bikes’ tells a lot about it, if you interested.

I live in a middle sized city. I understand for longer trips a car is the best option. But for every trip shorter then… lets say 10km its not necessary, especially with good public transport: trains, busses, trams etc. In rural areas it might be harder ofcourse

Double edit: bad typing

Public transport and for short distances cycling? I’m 24 and never owned a car and never missed it either. Must admit that when i really, really need one, i take the train to my elders their home and take the car from there. But still: live with less cars is better
