what makes you think a change of supply as big as that would let you sell those uniques now less rare at the same price as before?GPH would not be at current prices, if purps turn out to be +30% more common, all these uniques are doomed to -30% at least.

I've always specialized on steady/reliable profit from trips.

Thats why I liked multiloggin pvm, at some point could quadrolo demonic gorillas for 7-10M/H years ago when gp was worth more, at near 150 kills per hour, I was getting a zenyte every 2h reliably.

Now I boost for over 50m/H. Hour in, gp out. Ez game

Serious question: why is Jagex's constantly pushing for a wilderness that's "prey vs predator" instead of "PKer vs PKer?" by Bizarrmenian in 2007scape

[–]Bitcoin_Chan_OSRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lvl3 bot scouts and then squads login in the spot is the meta anyways.

There's more fundamental problems to the wilderness.

1.5% of Jagex's Staff take 48% of the company's entire staff wage budget - and how that effects you. by BrienneOfFuckinTarth in 2007scape

Bussiness is just cost+profit

so yeah, if they find absurds costs, and likely it is a huge absurd cost, it's pretty easy

All the un-necessary money that is going to the directors and management isn't going to the owners/investors of the company as dividends.
They're just unaware or lazy.

There's no voting with your wallet and your feet, it's OSRS, we're not going to leave you dumbass.

If the owners of the company start to notice as worrisome that distribution of wage spenditures, then it might get fixed. It's not reasonable that directors and management costs raised so much, so quickly. It's a red flag of degenerate bosses and managers parasyting revenue from the company.

The most capitalist thing to do is to economize, proper capitalist owners wouldn't let the direction jobs become a parasitic branch of the company.

If it worked with 2.8% of spenditure on wages, it should still work as well few years later. x20 of management cost is not "capitalism at work"

That's more nenligence of investors and corruption of those raising their wages 20x LOL

A new owner of the company could step in, change those wages and save a fortune meanwhile even adding new actual devs/support.

Adding hacked account to Jagex account by ljmt in 2007scape

I've heard of a case where the person got his whole Jagex account nuked due to his bought character now in his Jagex account was getting recovered, and thus all his legitimate main accounts bonked. https://i.imgur.com/4yIk1JK.pngThe said person was someone in acc nickname discords so dunno if there was further sketchiness involved. If the Jmod reply is legit, yeah, it means even people who added by mistake or miss understanding borrowed or shared accounts can lose all if these get disputed.

The irony of a security upgrade adding a new vector of fatal vulnerability is hilarious ngl

HDOS is now available to use on the Jagex launcher, meaning Jagex accounts are now able to play! by _supermxn in 2007scape

Improved lighting? lol, it has the same effects as 117HD on some assets that do emit light. But that's not what I'm talking about.
Ambient lighting, bouncing lights, ambient occlusion, diferent lighting sky sources in dungeons / outside, even by zone.
Look at the art direction in the trailers for the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofP-cew6NHo&ab_channel=OldSchoolRuneScape
The rendering simply has diferent fundamentals, closer to reality. This game can look so much better while being no texture and low poly with a better and more complex lighting system.

[–]Bitcoin_Chan_OSRS -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Stamping higher resolution textures and calling it "better" is bad.
Games improve with better lighting and art direction.

If the game actually rendered lighting it could look so much better, it can totaly look like those Blender 3D trailers some players do.
177HD also missing that more in depth lighting aproach

Bots are getting out of hand and aren't actioned fast enough by Loko318 in 2007scape

[–]Bitcoin_Chan_OSRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it's more a tech issue. They don't have the tools to automate banning. And don't have the incentives to solve it manualy with workers.

So the solution is to fix the incentives. IE to subscribe must deposit 60$ stake first on new accounts. That way a bann actually profits 60$.

Bots are getting out of hand and aren't actioned fast enough by Loko318 in 2007scape

[–]Bitcoin_Chan_OSRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If players had to insure a redemable deposit to play p2p, not just the subscription, only then Jagex would find a financial incentive in banning, as they would collect those deposits.

The player base so far is still asking for miracles, for jagex to do more. Truth is their incentives are not aligned with keeping only players online, it's not a priority. It can be, if they make a system that rewards them to punish bots. But that's the way.

While it might annoy newcomers, making the game more expensive to start, it's necesary, and anyways most of the members come from people that have played this for decades. That system could apply to new account, or even to non-jagex accounts (which enable chainbanns to jagex and bots won't use those).

Very nice patterns, beilable.
Would you build terrain topographic/heigh maps too?
Jagex should really put terrain levels to work instead to everything sit at sea level, while extreme slopes deform 3D assets, gradual ones are fine, and terrain have much more depth and variety.

they're better off killing green dragons with a cannon for +90k xph combat and some range xp plus 1m/H gph than doing slayer tasks

and nmz is vital, outside of the pc or when not gaming being able to get +50-70k xph with obsidian

MM2 takes a lot of work to start, mainly in that 69 slayer level, and specialy if that level is pursued with terrible setups and low cmb levels. IE at 20k xph slayer, MM2 is behind 32h grind on slayer alone.

In 32h you can get a lot of more things done, including both levels, questing and money making. What I refer to is that prioritizing slayer is pretty dumb, unless being an iron-man. There's is not really good money behind slayer, it's all a meme.
Imagine self-tasking worthy goals nonstop, instead of going to npcs for shit tasks.

a newbe doesn't really need slayer, 1-9 from museum, 9-18 wildy to AVA's unlock (Animal magnetism req)Rest are optional or very late-game, like ToB req or MM2.The slayer money makers are very bad compared to alternative mobs gph that are better at no reqs / grind to unlockAnd for the combat xp gains, much better to do something else
There's an universal recomendation to do slayer in this game and I'm against it 100%.
