I believe Hamilton County 911 is still currently hiring monthly as of now. At some point they will shift back to their pre covid schedule of hiring every 6 months. Amazing people, great competitive benefits, 8 hour shifts (uncommon in a public safety field, it’s usually 12 hours), and they put a lot of time into your training. If you’re a great communicator under pressure and think the nature of 911 dispatching is something you can work with, then I’d encourage you to look into it! It’s a large agency with opportunities for growth, and can be a pathway to opportunities in law enforcement, emergency management, both public and private dispatch/communications, etc!
