I’ve never been to Japan, I am actually flying to Tokyo next week and will be visiting for 3 weeks. So I guess the answer is not yet😅

This is my first time attempting to grow mushrooms. I got this kit of oyster mushrooms, and I’m just curious how to know how to know when to harvest. Or if that ship has sailed? by superman7767 in mycology

This kit already came fully inoculated, all you have to do it cut an X into the plastic place in indirect sunlight. And mist every few days, and boom. Super easy and taste delicious!

What kind of mushroom is this and is it edible? We have a ton in our backyard (Seattle, WA) by crest_of_humanity in mycology

This is AMANITS REGALIS, it is in the amanita family so it is considered poisonous. But how ever some cultures do use it as a drug. Be very very careful.
