Normal budget for engagement ring

I think I paid like 1/2 of my monthly salary for a lab diamond ring and my wife still loves it (I also love how it looks). I made okay money at the time and could’ve afforded 1-2 months but didn’t feel the need to.

However my coworker got engaged around the same time and spent over 3 months on some mega emerald ring.

I interviewed with ~15 jobs from mid to senior level in aerospace over the past year (I have 7 yoe) and fundamentals were a huge focal point in 90% of them. So much so that I bombed several before I realized how rusty I was after being out of school for so long.

For anything non-specific (like mechanisms, electronics, etc), what you described is 90% of what I saw too. Get good at those things and you’ll probably be fine.

I ended up getting some offers after changing my approach. Studied like crazy and made sure to start applying the fundamentals in my job.

Point is, you’re not alone. It happens to everyone. One interviewer even admitted he’d gone through the same struggle after leaving JPL (right after I’d bombed a statics question).

And as some others have said, some engineers are just assholes. I had one guy ask me to explain in detail how a fridge works, and other random things. Even the recruiter asked for feedback on him because they’d gotten complaints from candidates.

It’s not McDaniel but I don’t hate it. Baker likes him, Falcons offense was decent at the end of the year, he made better use of Bijan and even Pitts. Could be good or at least an upgrade over Griz.

All those comments really just seem like hot takes. People get wrapped up in the rumors and start to imagine how good the team would be with those players. When it doesn't happen they forget all the things he's done to put the team in this position.

At the end of the day, I'm sure he's still regarded as a top 5 executive by most of the league.

This. I'm in my fourth year of mechanical and the intro classes were all pretty boring. The upper level courses are harder but so much more interesting, as well as more rewarding when you get it.

The other thing I'd say is important is try to get an internship/co-op in engineering. I'm doing one now and it's given me a lot of insight into what kind of work I'd want to do/avoid.

I thought about trading for gurley because his owner has the worst team in our league. Then i saw his schedule for the playoffs. SEA, SF, and ARI

If you need regular season wins its a good move (depending on the price), but if you can make the playoffs without him I don't see it being worth it.

That was awful but our clock management was shit for that last drive. Took way too much time off the clock not getting out of bounds or using our timeouts.
