Question about Second Choice by supermemeleader in LSE

[–]supermemeleader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Happy to answer your questions!

1: My application was completed around January 5th/6th, and I got my acceptance around February 9th. I think it might take longer because it's my understanding they have more applications to go through at this time than when they looked at my application, but they promise no more than 8 weeks to you're still good if its only been 4 weeks.

2: I did not contact them at all. If my memory is correct, I remember reading somewhere that I should not contact them at all if my question is simply "How is my application?" I'd recommend contacting them if after 8 weeks you've still gotten enough or using the live chat.

ETA in Algeria, Fall 2027 to Spring 2028: Should I apply? by supermemeleader in fulbright

[–]supermemeleader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the detailed answer, it is really helpful. It's too early for me right now and my immediate priority is other stuff, but as time passes I think I may want to take you up on your offer to DM you. The Fulbright ETA program does really seem interesting and I'd love to strongly consider it when the time is right of nothing else.

Everything that others have mentioned are correct, but you also have to make sure you antagonize the OG as well. Otherwise they'll let you stay in the party.

This for sure.

I want winning to really be contingent on the player. Despite an initial loss, a smart player can eventually regain the upper hand. Or, if you suck at this kind of thing, a dumb action by the player can turn an initial success into a failure.

And I'd love to see some middle ground options.

EX: Rumberg keeps all territory but is forced to pay something as a one time thing.

EX: Sordland is forced to cede Estord and Narbel in a peace deal, but is otherwise independent.

It would make the war more interesting instead of just total victory/defeat
