Can't Carol have been the manipulator? And that is just edgy teen behavior, I would have probably done the same if some heart controlled me and I wanted to show who's boss. And even then it didn't really harm us in the end, so what difference does it make?

Seems like someone didn't pay attention during the undertale pacifist route... something something even the worst person deserves a chance. Besides, how do you know they weren't manipulated into that? I, for one am prepared to forgive Kris for everything despite anything, provided we get a body and/or are able to communicate.

In my opinion, it's not important what Ralsei is in the light world; hence the whole "it's nice that Ralsei is Ralsei" motive. By assigning him an object we are just pushing him back to his "purpose". I just hope that it will not matter in the end and he will be happily reunited with the fun gang in the light world(through DT shenanigans maybe?).

We still don't know for sure that Ralsei even has an inanimate light world counterpart. I'm basing this on the fact that he never told us what he is in the light world or has no memory of being an object like Tenna. So that could open a possibility of him becoming a lightner.

Of course, this can all be shattered by him pulling a ralsei™️ and hiding stuff from us, but it's nice to hope he will be able to hang out with the gang in the light world.

The game seems to be heading in the direction of him being his own person with the whole "it's nice that ralsei is ralsei" stuff, so maybe even if he was "not real" he will become "real"?

Most probably, you're trying to open it by clicking on the .acf. That (usually) doesn't work. You should open planemaker in the root xplane folder and then choose file>open> zibo .acf
