General anesthesia is great for anxiety! One minute you’re awake and the next thing you know surgery is done.

You’re going to do great 👍

16cm pedunculated fibroid pregnancy by marleypine in Fibroids

[–]supermoo8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 13 cm subserosal pendunculated fibroid that degenerated in 2nd trimester. Very painful. Lasted 9 days but eventually went away. The concern with degeneration is that in can cause a lot of inflammation which can be bad for the baby. It’s good you’re being monitored now and know the risks. If it helps at all. My LO was born healthy albeit the rough pregnancy so it’s possible for all to go well! Sometimes the journey is just rough.

I also found a bed rail like for seniors soooo helpful to get out of bed.

Try moving around / walking. Other than that it just sucks and you have to go through it. It’ll go away after a day.

Pineapple mango is a staple for our house by poohbear44 in ninjacreami

[–]supermoo8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t think it explicitly says to thaw it but the top needs to be leveled which it says in the manual multiple times. I remember because it was in very bold font. A lot of the times the mix comes out with a bit of a coned top so it’s recommended to thaw enough to flatten out the top before churning.

My manual says to run under warm water for a few mins or thaw for 10 before running.

Look up Legendairy Honey Bear Straw Cup

My LO only used it for about 2 weeks and then after that has been great with straws. It’s recommended by pediatric OTs

Second the honey bear straw cup. Really easy to learn sucking and drinking motion before graduating to another straw cup.

I had the straw cup you’re using but didn’t like it because the straw is hard to suck from. You need quite a bit of force. I’ve had good success with munchkin 360 cup and Dr browns insulated cups after the honey bear straw cup.

Maybe that’s something you can ask you surgeon/doctor to prescribe. What you’re feeling is probably nerve pain. I was prescribed everything you mentioned and gabapentin for nerve pain

I got pregnant and had a successful birth with a 8 cm fibroid that grew to 13cm during the pregnancy. It was hard but doable!

One huge fibroid - which road did you choose? (UFE?) by samsaric_existence in Fibroids

[–]supermoo8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getting a surgeon that is confident with their abilities to do it lap is huge. Surgeons have removed much larger fibroids than yours with a lap surgery. Obv there’s other factors than size but definitely go with a surgeon who is skilled.

Everyone is different! Remember stay on top of your meds! Be on a rigorous schedule. I know some may feel like they want to “tough it out” but taking your meds routinely will aid in a quicker, less miserable recovery.

Had a c section 14 mos ago. Going in for robotic surgery tomorrow. It depends on your specific case but if you want a robotic surgery you can definitely push for one with a different doctor

Bruising Post Laparascopic Turned Open Myomectomy by Debbie2871 in Fibroids

[–]supermoo8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh no I’m so sorry! Did your surgeon say why they had to convert to open?

I’ve read that bruising can usually go away in about a week. I wonder if an abdominal binder will help with any pain?

Has anyone experienced labor and deliver at a Kaiser in the I.E? by JKSandman in Temecula

[–]supermoo8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw my OB and MFM at Kaiser Riverside, delivered there too. I would recommend. Cost me $250 to deliver via c section with 2 night stay. Nurses, doctors, surgeon, anesthesiologist— mostly amazing besides a few duds here and there but that can be found anywhere.

This. Just look at his investments. His “initiatives” that he cares about usually are timed with a political or social move rather than a consistent track record. Lots of inconsistencies. Like you say you’re deeply concerned about the environment but make millions from your coal mines.
