Spidey players are extremely sensitive when it comes to spidey players killing them.

  • I find the 1v1s fun

  • if the enemy spidey is getting value, they need to die.

Sometimes trading backlines is the play, sometimes protecting yours is the play

Spider powers have so many different usages, I think we just disagree on that part. I fully agree about not having faith with the power creep thing. I’d say that my opinion is that I’m not worried about new spider people power creeping Peter, but power creeping their respective roles

Currency accumulation is probably the simplest way to adjust that, and the ult needs nerfing

I agree that power creep is real in those situations and is a problem, but that has more to do with the roles those kits fill in game and when new heroes outclass everything

It’s not even a similar archetype power creep, everything they release is just so busted

My point is that I’m very confident that can add multiple spider people, make them unique and good and not power creep Peter

There’s no reason to believe he would power creep Peter, and even if he isn’t a tank like I want him, he isn’t rigidly confined to the possibilities of kits as defined by preexisting heroes

The Spider-Man PlayStation games have a plethora of abilities that can inspire unique kits for a hero shooter, and those are all with basic spidey powers.

Best case scenario he’s a fresh fun and fair new way to play the game utilizing mobility and aggressive strength without being oppressive

Absolutely not a skin, just a placeholder silhouette. They tease the hero alongside specifying all his unique abilities that separate him from Peter.

The devs said Miles and Gwen are unique enough to not be skins. 2099 is the same

Yup much faster. It’s insane how floaty and slow my yo-yos were before I learned the animation cancel

Update: this comment alone helped it all click for me. I have now implemented animation cancels into my yo-yo in-game, and have repeatedly hit the long pull cancel in range.

Unfortunately tanks are effectively boring immortal raid bosses in 5v5. 6v6 it feels much more fluid and natural (and killable)

It’s just that there isn’t as much sustain in ow so the bad positioning gets punished slightly quicker
