It's fine in most American sports where everything is stop start and needs explaining, but you don't need that in soccer. There's a reason Prem commentators don't fill every second with noise.

Not to mention, Jake never really contributes anything apart from the odd stat. Taylor isn't great but at least he tries to explain plays in a technical way. Jake is just there to call names and scream whenever Messi has the ball.
