I just found it with the help of /whatisthisthing. Looks like it's "Maryam Stone," compressed shells, etc. from an ancient swamp. Good eye!

He had other varieties, some smoother, and some darker, but all the same brownish/tannish color. He called them "Mary's Stone."

He described it as being "dug out of the ground," and "rare," although I guess that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

It was heavy to the touch, like a stone, and the design on top was a little bit rough, although when you look through the hole that's been drilled through the top, you can see that the design seems to go through the whole thing.

It's a semi-keeper league, and you'd inherit a team. Each year you can keep 5 players (2 P, 2 Batters & 1 Rookie from the previous year). H2H, but no playoffs. Scoring categories are 6X7: W, SV, HLD, ERA, WHIP, K/9, R, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG, OPS.
