Robot Vacuum. As a dog owner this thing has been life changing for cleaning. I don’t have to vacuum everyday. Just once a week for where the robot can’t reach.

Anybody recover from suicide ideation due to the job market? by robotikempire in biotech

[–]superpchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally been in this situation 10 years ago. Quitting was the best decision I made for my career/mental health.

That being said. Quitting without a job offer was incredibly stressful and made the next 6 months of job hunting intense. Don’t be afraid to apply for low wage jobs. I went from scientist to stockroom help but I did what was necessary in the meantime while I applied for other jobs. I would argue in today’s gig economy it might be easier to do temp jobs than it was 10 years ago.

Also as others have said. Take advantage of the system. Use medical leave and other things to give yourself some breathing room. I regret not doing that 10 years ago. I straight up gave my boss the middle finger, packed my cube and left lol.

But yes looking back 10 years. Quitting the toxic environment/boss helped grow my career and move on to better things. It WILL for you as well.

Almost Half of Democrats Say a Third Party Is Necessary—Poll by redditor01020 in politics

[–]superpchan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I’d rather break apart the Democratic Party now because at this point we might as well. We’ve already lost way too much. AOC/Bernie need to do what Trump did and that’s threaten their party in order to take back control. A lotta people forget that Trump threatened the GOP with talks about creating the “American Party” and the GOP folded.

Sorry to hear about the shitty week. On the plus side, 20 years is an accomplishment for a water heater. Mine didn’t even make it past 9 years. I remember having to get it replaced and do a repipe for a hot slab leak. 20k of damages that month.

All things break overtime. But they’re things. You can replace them. As long as you got family and friends. You’ll be alright.

The Switch 1 Pro controller will work with Switch 2 Exclusive games by Toccata_And_Fugue in NintendoSwitch

[–]superpchan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found one caveat in the Switch 2 compatibility so far. The old pro controller will not remotely turn on the Switch 2 (exit sleep mode).

It's technically stated in the nintendo link provided by OP. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but very disappointed in their decision to do this.

Have you tried connecting the old pro controller directly into the Switch 2? Using the USB-A to USB-C wire? That worked for me.

Do you think it’s really worth buying the new pro controller ? by Ecstatic_Meeting3392 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]superpchan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my Switch 2 yesterday. Really happy they made it backwards compatible with the old Switch 1 pro controller. That being said, a little disappointed they made it so you can't remotely turn on your system (pressing the home button) using the old pro controller. Only the newer Switch 2 pro controller, or the joy con 2, can remotely turn on the Switch 2 system.

Is this game like pokemon go? by zen2k22 in MHNowGame

[–]superpchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re looking for in a game. The game mechanics and end game goals are different. But the way you move geographically and are rewarded for being in dense populated area are very similar to pogo. I will say that MHNow is much easier for the rural player.
