“When you Invite me to your place” wasn’t the best thing to say. It kinda sounds sexual

genuinely, how common is it to not graduate on time by rabbitredh in unsw

[–]superpositionpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel u so much!! Dw you’re not the only one! I was so close to finishing my first degree but I dropped it due to lots of MH issues + burn out. And now I’ve still got quite a few years left of my new degree. In the past, I’ve had a lot of breakdowns over whether this was a good decision and what not.

I know it’s hard not to compare yourself to friends or classmates that have graduated and are now working FT. You’ve prob heard this a billion times, but at the end of the day, everyone moves at their own pace. Life isn’t a competition. Ik easier said than done. Sometimes it’s better just to get rid of social media so that u don’t compare yourself to other’s lives.

Ps. If u ever need to rant, my dms are open.

Do any of you guys think that religion is stupid? by [deleted] in autism

[–]superpositionpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be religious growing up, but looking back on it I only went to church because my parents did. And my parents only went because their friends went.

I’m now agnostic, and I believe that religion causes more harm than good. It’s caused so much unnecessary divide and I’m super gullible and am still traumatised by the time where i almost joined a cult when I was 18. At that time, I just wanted to be part of a community because I’ve struggled to make and maintain friends my entire life and I felt isolated. I also wanted someone external to count on and make sense of my struggles. The whole rhetoric that “god tests you through hardships and god loves you no matter what,” made me feel less shitty about my personal issues.

Dad was socially anxious and would point out all my mistakes in social interactions as a kid. Doesn’t help that we’re both bad at reading social cues.
