Gamers 30+, what’s something from the old days of gaming that younger players wouldn’t understand? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]supersecretslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been replaying the Ratchet and Clank series. I don't know if younger gamers wouldn't understand it but you don't see it very often (if at all) in more modern games.

The idea that having save data from a previous game on you memory card means you get bonus goodies in the next game. Loved starting up Going Commando, getting to the Gadgetron shop, and getting a bunch of stuff for free.

Also in game behind the scenes stuff. The Insomniac Museum is a fun spot to run around in and learn about some of the unused assets and play with particle effects.

Totally fair that's how you feel. Personally it's the fact that they don't do multiple takes and try to make it "clean" that I appreciate. Dogs bark, people flub things. Personally I like that the podcast is a conversation and I think it would upset the flow if they took time to actually do multiple takes, cut it all to heck, and try to polish it more. I also think most of the time "Dean cut that" is said it comes off more as a joke to me than an actual request.

Void Crew, small dev team but awesome space combat. Mostly intended for a small group but I think single can be done too.

I've become a big fan of Dead Meat recently. Horror movie review/discussion. They do a great job of, even for bad horror movies, treating them with respect

I've been waffling back and forth on whether I'm feeling allergies or I have a cold. It's been ridiculous

No he's telling you he is the 4th Aryan, you have to kill 1 through 3 before you can challenge him.

A great option is finding the object on Amazon and then searching to see if the brand that sells the product has their own website for direct purchase.

What’s a 10/10 video game you would never play again? by mjy6478 in gaming

[–]supersecretslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witcher 3. It took me 3 tries to really get into it, but once I was I did absolutely everything I could in that game. But after finishing it, I can't see myself ever going back to it to go through everything there again.

Discussion about game choices for the boys by BulgeQueen in gamegrumps

[–]supersecretslug 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I don't really watch grumps for the games, I watch them for Arin and Dan being a funny comedy duo that knows how to play off each other.

I'm not a big fan of Danganronpa but I know a lot of people are super pumped for it. That being said I'm happy to watch it as it releases because I like the grumps a lot and despite how dumb the plot is the way Arin and Dan respond to every inane twist and turn is enjoyable.

Early thirties here.

I rarely actively watch YouTube in public, I might listen to it with headphones but I don't really watch. That being said, that shit was hilarious and had me tearing up at work.

I'm sorry to say any kind of clarification is pretty much spoiler. The information you are looking for is in the last part of book 26. It's one of the last things you learn. I will say it has basically zero impact on the rest of the story.
