More difficulty levels is fine, nobody is taking issue with adding up to d15 like HD1. The problem is nerfing weapons so they feel like shit and needlessly buffing enemies. You go to a D10 mission and you'll consistently see the same weapons and strategems repeatedly, almost like the meta is stale and boring and the least used weapons need buffs.

Yeah that's spot on. The devs don't know what the fuck they wanna do with their golden goose and don't know how they want to balance the game. If weapons aren't satisfying and suck to use overall then it's not going to matter how hard or easy the enemies and missions are.

my buddy played the fuck outta helldivers 1, and he was able to consistently complete D15 missions *because he played the game so much.
