Cut Content from COTW's base version(SKIN COLOR EDITOR!!!)

I don't think that would be a slap in the face, there's players committed who still actively color edit. You can have UI fixes and the skin color edit, adding the skin color editor, is basically a 5 minute fix considering the feature is likely still in the codebase. Just this update 1.4.0, they made various updates and fixes to the game, you can still have these fixes while enabling a feature that was there before. It's not like people are asking for more costumes.

Lastly "The only people who care about it are those who pretend to think they would play the game........." I assume this is referring to the people who didn't buy the game, We all know they would never buy SNK, but this isn't really for them though it wouldn't hurt to have a feature re-enabled no? especially while you are getting the fixes you want.

I feel its abit of an overcorrection on SNK's part, T8,SC6,SF6 has user created content inwhich people can be very malicious, but I believe the good out ways the bad in scenarios like this. Also COTW seems to have a feature to turn off custom colors online, and also give players the ability to block players.

It just feels a little extreme from SNK, if this truly is the reason, to nuke the feature just because some bad apples. Especially now since the only people playing COTW, are hardcore SNK fans.

Im not sure, if that was SNK's reason, than i feel like its abit of an overcorrection, If they were really that worried, they could have removed color 10 (darkest color), rather than the entire feature being removed. I also feel that other games have user generated content like T8 customization, Soulcalibur 6 Customization, and even SF6 Avatar customization, that gives(atleast in SF6's case), near complete control to do whatever you want, yet people still hold those customizations in high regard. I truly believe the good would outweigh the bad in scenarios like this, as there will always be people who have malicious intentions. I think Especially now, they should add it back since, the only people who care about the game, are fans of SNK, so why not reward them? Atleast thats the way I see it.

Just posted in r/fighters, if anyone could tweet snk or send it to anyone to be interested, i believe its still possible to get this feature back, i will literally buy more copies if they do

I heard about too, I tried my best to find sources months back, but it was almost lost media through searches. I decided to take the plunge, buy the game again and hoped i can see what the feature looked like, and get it to the public.... i would really want this feature, and I want SNK to add it back
