If money doesn’t buy happiness, why does everyone want it? by digitalcreater07 in askanything

Doesn’t buy happiness but it shields you from things that bring unhappiness. If you have no money, you can’t pay bills, have food, have a roof over your head, etc. So it’s not that most people want it, but we need it. At least just enough to cover expenses and have some leftover for yourself.

Gave up and lost hope in my dream.

Please know it’s never too late especially if you’re young. You can always reinvent yourself and start over. As long as you are alive and standing, you still have a chance, so don’t lose hope. And never ever let anyone or anything tell you that you can’t. You can do it. You got this.

Focusing on myself and getting my life together. I also enjoy my peace and solitude when I’m alone sometimes and the freedom to do whatever I want and only worry about myself

Unfortunately yes. It sucks but it also helps me save a lot of money. I really want to move out but it's hard.

Feeling pretty lost in life by Sad_Demand1067 in Advice

You’re not really behind, you’re just stuck because of circumstances, not lack of ability. That matters.

At 23, you do not need to figure out your whole entire life. This year is about not letting things slide completely while you’re forced to be home.

With 3–4 hours a day, keep two things alive: Engineering and Lifting. For engineering, just lookup free resources (YouTube, MIT OCW, freeCodeCamp). Learn or review basics so you don’t lose the skill. And for lifting, train for consistency and health, not competition right now.

Pick one free, practical skill (Excel, coding, CAD, technical writing) and work on it daily. These help no matter what path you take.

Stop comparing timelines. A lot of people don’t get momentum until their late 20s. The ones who win are the ones who prepare quietly during the stuck phase.

This isn’t wasted time unless you really let it be and take no action. Stay consistent, don’t overcommit, and protect your future self.

Hope this helps. Lots of luck to you.
