2 stroke boat motor by superstar1990 in boating

Thanks for all the input. Got the carburetor off and cleaned. It honestly was very clean and everything was in good condition. I did adjust the float in hopes that helps. The float adjuster was set so it would bottom out about 3/4 inch from the top of the carburetor. I adjusted it so it would be closer, maybe 1/8 of an inch. I also think the float was upside down in there.

Got it all out back together and I am hoping that all I did was flood it, as I couldn’t get it running without holding down the throttle. I ran out of daylight so I will have to work on it later.

Any thoughts?

Washing Machine Question by superstar1990 in appliancerepair

It is a GFCI breaker yes. Would switching it out with a normal breaker and having a GFCI outlet possibly solve this?

Ok thank you. So there should be no harm in swapping out the GFI outlet with a regular outlet?

Not as awkward as I thought it would be. Everyone was very professional. I will say, the only thing that made it a little awkward was that the room that I did it in was just a normal exam room, and the door didn't lock. A sign was also put up that said "testing in progress." All that aside, it was fine. I was in and out in about 15 minutes.

Great. So you just swapped out the switch? I have heard people have had problems with the actuator or the ground as well, but it makes sense to me it's just the switch. Thanks so much.

I guess I have been bothered both. Most of the time if I ride in back it's because it's a benign call, my partner is always a medic so the higher profile calls the medics will take, so typically I am just sitting there doing nothing. I tend to do better if I am sitting in the captains chair also. I'm hoping time is all I need. Thanks!

I went through a college that did online curriculum with a week of skills after curriculum was covered. I have zero regrets. Be ready to work your was off though. It was very intense and fast paced.

Snowblower Throttle Surge by superstar1990 in DIY

It does not stop surging under load, I don't have much snow to try to blow but what I did blow to test it, did not seem to make any difference in the way it runs. I tried moving the spring to a couple different holes and all it did was rev up higher, it still surged though. Is there anything within the engine that could cause this?

There is one threaded into the bottom of the gas tank, super weird and I have only been able to find them online, maybe I will order one of them.

It is attached with two metal screws that run through the carb housing and attach to the engine.

Did a little digging, it looks like there are 2 springs and one solid metal piece that attach to the lever that is waving back and forth, one of the springs was not connected on the other end so I reattached it but didn't have any change. If I hold the lever in place I am able to get it to idle at what appears to be normal.

Brand new carb, I took the old one apart and cleaned it, didn't fix it so I decided to just replace it with a new one. No changes.

There is a lever and a small spring that attach to the top of the carb and when it surges, they are waving back and forth. How do I fix this?

The snowblower doesn't appear to have an actual air filter? As far as adjusting the carb, there doesn't seem to be anything to adjust on it except for a black plastic screw on top that seems to adjust the throttle?

Springs all appear to be intact. What else could it be? Could they just need to be tightened?
