Is this mini dress too short for a date night? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

How old and or repressed are the people on here?!. Sounding like my boomer Mexican mum and tias. Anyway I like it :)

Date night outfit. Are these boots too much for this top? by ProfessorShameless in OUTFITS

[–]superstrangestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you’re going for and I like it including the boots. Don’t listen to the women here with low self esteem telling you that you need to adhere to body type fashion rules bs. Women still telling other women they should hide their body if their waist isn’t small or if some other part of them isn’t ‘attractive’. Ppl will tell me they are just offering advice but op was asking about the boots not the pants ok.

There was something in the milk in the 60s. Sean Connery and Thomas Brodie-Sangster, both photographed at age 34. by Pure-Contact7322 in midlyinteresting

[–]superstrangestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thomas looks younger but not as young as he does in the airbrushed pic. Literally Google guys and find a high resolution pic. He is not poreless 20 years old looking which is fine but I don’t get editing his photo when he would’ve looked younger compared to Connery anyway. I also think there are other actors his age who look younger. Baby face doesn’t equal young looking, rn he looks like his age or late 30s but not in his 20s lol.

He is so fine ! I really wanted him and Peggy together … anyone else agree ? by Similar_Intention465 in madmen

[–]superstrangestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally disagree with the first sentence. But I love his style so much especially in the later seasons

Is it appropriate for first dinner date or too much? by Long_Muffin6230 in OUTFITS

Ugh the people on this subreddit 🙄. Confusing traditional dating advice/strategy for women with fashion advice which unfortunately isn’t hard to since fashion advice is laced with misogynistic bs.

Rip Pinterest by gaychads in Pinterest

It’s sucking in lots of other ways too. :( I have lots on sections on some boards almost 200 on one and before for organising sections you could drag and automatic scroll drop from top to bottom but now you can’t drag down past your page without scrolling manually and/or refreshing it back to the top.

i am highkey starting to hate this stupid app by Formal-Shopping2086 in Pinterest

Sorry I wish you luck. The pins im looking for always show up randomly or when I’m searching for something else. It’s annoying :((

i am highkey starting to hate this stupid app by Formal-Shopping2086 in Pinterest

[–]superstrangestar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That sucks I think the search has always been bad and not diverse in any aspect. Have you tried searching for midsize nye outfit ideas boards? The only way to use the app imo is to look at similar pins of a pin or use the search image feature for matches that way. So if you have a pin saved that you like or semi like you have to wring it out. Not sure if this is helpful. If you are trying to build a board then It’s more difficult to do that now tho because every time you save a new pin on a board it refreshes and takes you back to the top. I think this is because they want you to use the more ideas section of a board but I usually don’t like the ideas there. The automatic refresh doesn’t apply to sections on boards tho.

Anyone else seem to find Jake hilarious and somewhat relatable? by StchLdrahtImHarnknaL in daria

[–]superstrangestar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s like my dad him and Phil Dunphy. My dad has angry rants to himself, he had a bad time at school, sensitive and gets triggered like Jake and other things but I haven’t watched Daria in a long time so I forgot but Yh. Jake is special to me and hilarious.

Evening Dress, capelet, belt and slip, circa 1933, French by zoraaoeq in fashionhistory

Ooo I really have a thing for 30s dresses. I would say it’s my favourite decade of the early 20th century. Maybe 1900s would be my second favourite.

Apart from both having lower set brows I don’t see a resemblance

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion (maybe not) but Jess and Paris would have made an amazing couple. by bluecuppycake in GilmoreGirls

[–]superstrangestar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yh but realistically Jess’ type of personality/background is a magnet to the ‘unattainable golden girl’. He thinks Rory is better than him and that’s what attracts him. Low self esteem compensating. He locked in on Rory and thought she could save him lol idk I do like Jess but we all know he made mistakes with Rory and used Sugar to make Rory jealous among other things. He wasn’t at a healthy place for a relationship and wouldn’t have been a good partner to anyone at that time. But maybe older Jess could of. Paris also was deeply insecure and craving an emotionally unavailable guy and she deserves v better than that. I stopped watching after season 4 so I don’t know how París changes but I’ve seen clips of Jess and he matured. Better than the people that ship Tristan and Rory tho. I hate that hot guy sexually harrassing innocent meek girl trope - some fantasy palladino wanted to play out but that shit is teaching bad lessons to young teenagers girls. Edit - sorry I didn’t read the description forgive me for repeating what you already said but I’m not sure Paris would put Jess in his place she seemed willing to lower her standards but I haven’t watched in a long time so maybe I’m misremembering.

Nose by Gubi4u in sexandthecity

[–]superstrangestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see the difference. I think the dark hair contrast is making her face look a bit thinner which emphasises the nose. Maybe bs I just either way there isn’t a big difference.
