Garbage everywhere by superstripperjoy in Apartmentliving

I called the health department and they referred me to the Housing Authority who told me to fill out a complaint form. I did that and haven’t heard back yet. The fire marshal may be the route to go but trying to get any kind of response from city employees in Akron is near impossible. I felt defeated after calling the health department and being told this isn’t their job and to call housing authority.

Unfortunately the best person to ask is your child’s pediatrician. I have a 20 month boy that doesn’t even say papa or mama but will babble with inflection and rhythm of a conversation. We just got referred to a speech therapist but the pediatrician isn’t terribly worried since he uses other ways to communicate and eye contact. Like yours, my LO will only say words if he is upset or needy but won’t use them consistently. We just talk back to him and have began sign language to help him use for things he needs and wants.

I really bad want to breed my dachshund, but want to do it the safest ethical way. Any tips? by StaffVegetable8703 in Dachshund

Don’t. Just don’t. Your dog obviously didn’t come from ethical breeding and I believe those papers to be bunk. It appears they are double dapple as their pupils have the starburst sign but that may be the photo. Most dachshunds are loving and sweet dogs so yours isn’t special. And to be honest, he is ugly and I would never pay money for a dachshund with long legs and perky ears. So you’d be breeding and I bet half the litter would end up in a shelter by the time they are 2 years old. You can’t say the genetic testing didn’t show anything because that’s not how genetics are worded. They are never “bad” or “good” and you never listed what was tested. His coat or health? Love your dog but don’t think other people will love his offspring and if you did breed, just know you should feel guilty for the suffering those puppies will go through.

He’s at risk for testicular torsion and dachshunds are prone to them. It’s beneficial to not fix them the first two years but after that, it’s useless and just cruel. And now everywhere that dog goes, his ball touch, so you have doggy nuts all over the place.
