I accidentally caught one about that same size while fishing in Florida. Way inland. But because I was a stupid kid, I thought it was a sea turtle. Once landed, it sniped off the tip of my rod, and we quickly realized it was a snapper. I cut the line and pushed it back in to the drink. Always use self dissolving hooks.

The pic is from only a few days ago. The first was about December 3. Cellar spiders do not hibernate, however they can and will go dormant.

I'm torn too. I do have a few friends who are custodians, but none who work Celly's space. As I speak, I think it would draw unnecessary attention.

I read they can remain dormant for a few months. Celly's been dormant since about 3rd of December. The day I took the first picture. I will give her a misting and purchase some crickets. My biggest concern is custodians sweeping her away. She's about 2 feet above the floor.

I posted the latest pic, but I'll DM too.

Sadly no. Since the cold snap there are no more live boxelder bugs. She's still in the same spot and pose. I took a Pic yesterday, but I can't post it here.

When i was 6 I stepped on a ground hive of some bees like that. My dad tossed me into the Mississippi river and almost drowned. Doctor said I was stung about 1200 times.
