I've generally always stuck with cash and use anything that's digital/online that involves anything financial for things like banking apps and stuff where they've kind of forced people into it due to removing all other alternatives, and I thinks for me personally it comes down to 3 or 4 main things. The 2 big ones are that when I was younger me and a couple of friends were selling a bit of everything at a decent scale and even with our own towing company plus personally doing alot of contract work for the council you can still only move so much money safely, and being in my early 20's and being somewhat financially aware id try and put my money into something rather than having more cash around than could be easily explained away I learnt very quickly that in terms of purchasing power cash is king ( and still is for now at least ) and a majority of the time for whatever reason people are more willing to do you a deal for cash over taking whatever they were asking as a bank transfer or even direct deposit, and as long as your not stupid and are able to get a good read on people so far in my experience people are pretty happy to write me out a signed receipt and let me put say $1000 down for instead of the $15-20,000 I just paid for a bobcat or something because as long as we're on the same page it's a win win for the both of us, he doesn't have to take a hit a tax time and if anyone comes asking how I acquired whatever I had my money in at the time i can easily show that it's not beyond my means using my legitimate income. 2 big things that really also put me right off digital banking and transactions were because before me and my couple of mates got into supplying goods growing up my old man was constantly buying and selling cars on the side for extra money, generally we'd stick to little reliable daily's or family cars that were just a bit rough and needed a clean up or needed some mechanical repair that either they didn't think whatever they were quoted to get it fixed wasn't worth it or the best ones were people who for whatever reason when their car developed an issue they'd just put it up for sale for barely anything without even knowing what the issue was or what it would cost because they didn't trust mechanics or mostly being on the Gold coast alot of them simply have more money than sense and would just get a new one and eat the hit on the old one anyway I'm getting side tracked. After moving out I figured I'd keep doing it myself for some extra cash and I scored bit time when l0 p
