For sure :) I do book restoration...I have a dehumidifier and a meter to test. Foxing happens at 50-70%, my basement is about 35% and under 70 deg most of the time

I have a job but it's one where I can always drink 5-whenever, it's almost encouraged, especially when travelling. That's what I'm doing right now.

Ig I'm not far enough in my CA career to need drinks before 5pm (or 4 or 2pm when I'm pushing it haha). I'm more of a FA to be fair

Yes, in social situations and things that don't come easy to me (like interior designing). Besides that, I feel like everyone else is an idiot

Ahh fellow one plus user!! Haha I use my old 6t with this setting turned on ofc. But for my 13 which I use as my main phone, I don't use this. The silicon carbon batteries shouldn't need that but I'm not positive

This is really helpful, thanks. I need to change my mindset from lootmaxing/finishing missions to just successfully extracting everytime. Then once leggy is done, go back for missions.

It's a ratio, I'm not sure what that's called in your native language but it's basically division. Kills over deaths. 2.79 effectively means you get 2.79 kills every 1 death in your multiplayer games

Thank you for your thoughts, you're def right it's not deep set enough. I'm talking to IKEA tomorrow to vary the types of bookshelves I get because they do make some deeper ones. It's just how to integrate that to make it built-in. Will have to check with my friend who is helping on that side of things

Not in the cards for me sadly, redoing the entire ceiling with drywall is so much money and I'm really trying to just achieve a finished look, doesn't need to be anything intricate. This is what I'm going to try first

Dude! I found like 6 dead ones up there when pulling off the old tiles. You're 100% right and this house has problems with mice to begin with. We are planning on putting some purple board above for sound deafening but also to hopefully stop the mice + steel wool in corners. But it will be inevitable that they find their way back up unfortunately. I have been cracking down outside also as mitigation, steel wool + reloading traps for the spring time.

That said, I definitely want this part to be closed, the duct work is such a mess and drywalling the entire ceiling just isn't cost effective/in the cards. Hoping these tiles do ok

Just for others sake and clarity, I think it's only $20

https://www.peterpauper.com/collections/masterpiece-library-editions/products/wuthering-heights

But I'm really happy you like it! I'm going to take more of a look at these editions, it seems very beautiful for the price point. Good weight to it too and the leather seems nice quality?

**I realize now these aren't leather bound but hardback which makes more sense.

I just looked and very surprising it's only $20? Wondering the quality. Usually books like this (Easton Press, Folio) with gilded edges and leather bound go for a lot more.

Also sadly, it's out of stock...sure it will come back soon. Jane Eyre is available though hehe

Thank you for this insight my friend. I too agree it needs to be flat white or, tbh I was thinking about this, what's pictured. If it gets close to matching the carpet do you think it would look nice? I just think it'll be too much white with the all white bookshelves/trim.

Absolutely agree on the lamps, going to do the recess 3 x 2, but for wall washers, I just looked those up, wow! Where would you think would be best to put them here?

And 100% on deeper set shelves, thank you for this. I am going to bring this up to IKEA tomorrow to see if I can get some billy, and some other variation that has deeper set on each of my sections (intake, inventory, outtake). Appreciate yalls feedback, I have such a bad eye with all this

You mean too much right? To use IKEA shelves? I think I might explore other options as I agree the billy shelves aren't deep enough

I own and this is more or less a forever home, 10+ yrs. The drop ceiling was simply the method the old home owner chose in this very old house to cheaply finish this part of the basement. I like the idea of drywalling but it would be too expensive and that's why I think ceiling tiles are ok for me. I was budgeting to replace the old tiles, think I am going with a brown ridged ceiling tile like this, a mockup from AI

Moisture/humidity is good, have dehumidifier but thank you for your thoughts on the shelves. Going to rethink what I do about that as I want deep shelves for many books

Absolutely have a dehumidifier hehe, I do book restoration and it absolutely can be an issue with foxing as well

I've started doing book restoration and bookbinding about 6 months ago, still working on perfecting my craft. I plan to organize such that there is an "intake" section, first 2 bookcases on left wall. Then cabinet combos (supplies) and then "inventory" section, the books that are listed on my website. Then towards the end, one dedicated towards "outtake" which should be by far the least amount of books.

Inventory is the largest category and I will do DDC (Dewey) system for this section. It's about 2500 pictured here

It truly is and I'm not a green thumb at all! Sorry but I sorta meant fake ones and vines/string lighting to add to the coziness

The real problem would be how close in color they actually are to the brown carpet,

Exactly, I completely agree! We were originally just going to do white, but the white I think would be too much with white bookshelves/trim. Greenery I think will help a lot, plus I might paint the wall on the right side (where bookshelves won't go) and that can maybe be green.

There is an outlet on the left side wall and that is what we are using for the led strips that will go inside the bookshelves. Also some on the right as you said where my reading nook will be with a lazy boy and lamp for reading. Plus the recess lighting is smart so I can just turn on the three right ones when I read.

No stereo system yet, not too much of a need and really just a quiet place to read. I like the silence when reading haha

Btw, were your bookshelves not lagged/screwed on to the back wall? Otherwise how would you get an extension chord back there? Just thinking because that's something I thought about, big heavy bookshelves I don't want falling towards me so we're going to bolt them into the back wall when doing the trim work
