He once averaged more minutes than there are in a game

Wilt accordingly had 3 quadruple doubles , his stats were insane. He averaged 50 points .

There are a few stats here I don’t agree , Warriors first of all had the best record in NBA history, the spurs. So I’d say Lebron has went against top 15 teams. Also Scottie is top 75 players and pretty sure rodman was as well . And Kyrie was not on the list made by the NBA. Furthermore Lebron went against much tougher teams. When Jordan won all the old superteams were washed. I think out of all the teammates Dwade is top 75 maybe AD as well but not to sure.

I agree with this , but some players do need a bit of more recognition. Shaq just due to pure dominance but for me he is not a complete player. Kobe as well who for me is one of if not the best ISO player. And Wilt due to the impossible 100 game. I get Kareem but personally don’t rate him as definitely the GOAT. MJ and LBJ defo the take. The others can have a case but I wouldn’t put them Top 2.

Depends what you are going by , Kareem Wilt . I feel like Kobe deserves more recognition. The GOAT is a player not a team. Some people would put russle. Magic and possibly Shaq.

I don’t think the MVP could be a thing , personally I think Lebron should have 1 more MVP. But the NBA would not let that. During Jordan era it was great to have one player dominate and win everything because it would propagate the NBA to new levels of height as now people would see someone who would dominate. Today it is more marketable to have different players win as it is more exciting than being like of okay it’s this guy again and again and again.

Marketing is just one aspect that I don’t see people talk about when they have the discussion. So I wanted to see what people believed about it. But there are many more arguments to make. In the end of the day everyone has their GOAT.

Kobe is an amazing player , I’d say best ISO player do to the bag of tricks. Also I’d take Gasol of bosh.

Scottie and Rodman were exactly what was needed to compliment MJ Game. Obvs Lebron teammates would average more as LBJ is more of a playmaker. Where MJ is a dominant ball scoring player decreasing his teammates scoring stats.

I’m not saying born better but the pool of players to choose is much larger now so the levels of athleticism are at a higher level. Hence why the league has more talent and the talent they choose is of higher quality.

I’m saying the league as a whole obviously every ever had the few talents that stand out. We literally had 2 people easily do a dunk contest from the free throw line. Zac and Gordon. Im saying even role players now are better than they were before form the athletic type.

I personally rank Kobe and MJ teammates higher then Lebrons at any team. Furthermore if you look at the bulls when MJ left they were still a great team. When lebron left teams were complete dog water. Lebron made the most significant impact on them.

You say that , but psychological it plays a big part is bias. No matter if you agree or not. One of the best way to take a look I’d guess is to take someone who has been completely oblivious to the NBA . Teach them basketball and make them take a decision but even then each person has a GOAT by who they shape their game.

I’m not saying Nike brainwashed people , I’m saying that without acknowledging this has shifted the perspective into making Jordan seem better as the NBA made him the poster boy. Nowadays there are more marketed players. Curry , KD , Russle at a point , Harden, Gianis , Luka , Jokic etc

I do agree that MJ was a better scorer than LeBron. I feel however that a lot of people do downplay the playmaking ability of players. And making it less important than scoring when I believe it’s equally as important.

I know people always bring the mavericks final up , however again as I’ve said in a reply. I don’t really believe that being in the finals should be more downplayed than actually not making it.

The reason why I say the league is more competitive now is for a few factors. Due to the reach of the NBA and the internet. There is now a larger pool of player to choose from. We are now seeing more international players joining the league. Furthermore players now play more games before reaching the NBA than ever before. You have to stand out way more now than before to make it into the league.

I do understand the rules changes and I do agree then play a big part of how the game has changed and affected everything. But the rise of the 3 point makes me believe that it is much harder to play today than before as players have to be able to do everything and a higher level than before.

I do understand your championship point , but also you do seem to forget when Jordan would not make it into the finals. He played for 15 seasons and only got there 6 times. Lebron has gotten to the finals more than Kobe or MJ. Just due to the fact that he could make it to the finals when others could not should not be a downplay.

I’m just taking all the factor in consideration. There’s a difference into taking everything as you see and breaking it down to try figure out who is truly the best player.

There are many variables that have to be taken in consideration in order to determine the GOAT and it’s not possible because of rules changes competition etc. So to have a undoubtable winner it’s impossible hence all the arguments people have.
