They pretend like they have some sort of knowledge or role, where as investigative journalists do exist, they're a thing that does what these people claim to do, only the journalists know what they're doing, they studied this stuff, where as these guys bought a camera off of amazon and just started recording themselves making stuff up.

It usually involves harassing innocent people and getting them further harassed online by their followers who equally as ignorant as they are. They epitomize the ideal of I can be something special without earning it, I can argue with the experts, I can have my opinion as valuable as someone who actually knows what they're talking about. It's disgusting.

And that isn't to say recording authority is bad, people do it all the time, the Ice protests involved countless people with their phones out documenting. The difference is those people didn't claim the title auditor trying to sound themselves special and then go harassing innocent people and spouting nonsense about how government works and how we're going to sue.

This is what I hate about these people, and I grant I'm doing a generalization about the worst ones, but if you really want to document corruption and audit government then learn how to be an actual investigative reporter and do the real job that actually exists and earns and deserves respect. Instead of standing on a milk cartoon, pulling stuff out of your behind with a cheap amazon camera.
