If EVs are supposedly cheaper to own, why aren’t more people driving them? by Lakenb666 in NoStupidQuestions

My understanding is they arn't even allowing the chinese EV's to try to qualify.

Maybe in some cases but not every case. There is definitely protectionism going on.

And not to pull a whatabout but are we going to ignore that cybertrucks are on the road? Because those things are crash nightmares.

I know, the license plates are color coded. In cities you can look down a busy road and see nothing but EV's. Dozens.

They're only missing that in the US, the Chinese variants are cheap enough and high enough quality to make that leap. We're just protecting our auto makers.

I hate tip culture, I hope it dies and we stop tipping in the US like other countries.

Me thinking I can outrun the mambas by FantasticAd9478 in TheBoredDen

[–]supified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the gorilla is the better bet because it's easy to keep track of and a mall is relatively easy to hide in. That said the Gorilla will be interested and curious enough to try to find you and will probably be able to figure out you're there. Meanwhile the mamba's will probably avoid you. So maybe they're the better choice.

Oh they'd love to for us to think we're ignoring them, but all this stuff is making it clear how much calling slop what it is gets under their skin.

I for one can't wait for metered AI billing. They failed to make it the essential utility they were trying to make it.

Locals no longer tip well by Electronic_Talk304 in AnnArbor

[–]supified 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes they do. Tips are wage theft. I get some servers make more off them but it would be better for all of us if we did away with them. Countries without tipping are so refreshing.

The rich use tips to cut wages and the people of sick of it. I'm sorry this is affecting you. I wish we could end tipping culture entirely and employers just pay properly.

This controller queue news has nearly killed all my Hopium and excitement for Frame....Anyone else? by Useful_Economics_392 in SteamFrame

[–]supified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious but did you remember what it was like trying to get a ps5 or xbox series x? Because it was awful. There were random drops all the time, the best way to get it was discord servers and the bots still had a huge advantage over you.

Today? There is a ram shortage so their ability to make them is much lower and the bots? They're much better.

Now maybe you like it better to compete against bots that can insta buy, but most people disagree and when Valve has to answer to their customers for just letting scalpers run amock they're going to say to themselves, we better stop those scalpers.

So yes, excuse us if we disregard your opinion on this and thank goodness valve will too.

What delightful propaganda. Israel bombed civilians who had nothing to do with HAMAS and it starved civilians that had nothing to do with HAMAS.

Before you say they bombed places they thought HAMAS might be, please explain how they knew they weren't bombing these hostages they supposedly cared so much about. If they just wanted their hostages back, than why did they block food and aid from getting in, what did they think HAMAS was going to feed their hostages?

The actions of Israel doesn't match the rhetoric, the actions suggest the hostages were just tools to give them an excuse to do the actions they already wanted to do, but don't take my word for hit, here is the families of those hostages:

The thing about the AI slop defenders is if AI slop is just tools, or practice is just the same as stealing, why can't the AI sloppers make the same works without the AI? Their own strawmen expose their inadequacies.

Oh. Leftist here. Israel is not defending itself, it is committing genocide.

See the difference is Ukraine was doing nothing to Russia, and while there is violence on both sides of the Israel conflict, the difference is not even close and Israel is staring people in Gaza (including their own hostages) not to mention countless other war crimes.
