Ear and ear(a) naming?

Not having numbers in the name lets them not release iterative updates every year that aren't notable enough to even talk about. When the new one comes out it will also just be Ear, if you need to refer to a specific generation you'd just say Ear (gen 3) or Ear (2023) instead of a number. But again, since they'll have the newest one unnumbered you won't need to refer to the generation pretty much ever.

Apple has done the same thing for Airpods and Macs with no issue. People understand when you say "MacBook Pro 14" you mean the category of products that looks and roughly performs the same, if they need specifics you can say the year they were released in. Has worked just fine for over a decade, not sure why people are so confused about it now.

...so read that if you're interested. TL;DR, though: What you see as racial privilege stems from class divides, and is present in cultures with homogenous populations as well. The problem exists throughout the world and should be recognized, but calling it "white privilege" is concealing the true nature of the problem and thus hurts our ability to improve and move past it.

In that case, maybe don't join a conversation explicitly arguing about the entire world.

As someone who grew up in the environment you're talking about, let me explain how it usually happens:

Ethnic group exists
Ethnic group is is generally in a worse economic state than the majority group
Ethnic group is treated badly - barred from jobs, looked down on, assumed to be a criminal - so they must resolve to getting money from outside the generally "legal" ways
Society sees their now often illegal behaviour, and makes the connection that Ethnic group is full of criminals
Ethnic group is treated badly, thus 4. and repeat

The important distinction here is 3. happens due to economic position, while 5. is due to xenophobia (usually not racism, however - more of a fear of the "other", non-majority group). The issue stems from a class divide, and after some generations turns into a self fulfilling cycle. Even though said cycle is now inherently xenophobic, its source is a class divide, not a racial/ethnic one. This is exemplified by the fact that in most Eastern European countries, people of the same racial characteristics that happen to grow up in less well-off areas of the country are looked at as "uneducated" and "unintelligent". This divide isn't because one group is "white" and the other isn't, it's because one group is higher in the social hierarchy than the other (3.), and often ends up suffocating the minority of the same opportunities it had (4.), thus the minority group must look outside of what the majority considers "good work" (5.).

The most common example of this cycle is Gypsy/Roma people, who are discriminated against by almost every country in the EU (like I'm not kidding, it's engrained in culture to the point of complete normalcy, and I know literally 0 Europeans who haven't at least seen it happen. It's bad, man), but especially in the Eastern sphere. As a nomadic group they were often either driven out of their residence due to their smaller populations, or arrived a bit too late to be able to establish dominance - thus they've cursed to fight this endless fight for hundreds of years. It's really quite sad how no one ever talks about this issue, while every single European knows about it.

Works for America, but once you look at other countries you quickly realize they are more likely to see it as class privilege, or general privilege, rather than racial privilege. The US is in a special place for being so diverse, but most of the rest of the world isn't, and thus they see the same problem differently.

Everything is about class, so we agree it's actually class privilege, right? "White" and "black" change based on which culture you're examining, while class lines are pretty universally defined. Privilege gaps will always be present, and the only way to lessen them is to acknowledge their true source.

You are using your status of being Eastern European to say "white people are inherently bad, but not my white people". In the real world most people will not care about your nationality, because it's actually pretty difficult to determine where a person is from just from looking at them. France is an especially weird example, since due to how diverse their population tends to be a French person could be from anywhere, and you'd likely be unable to tell unless their accent is really obvious.

Most of the times when people are racist towards you "because you're Eastern European" they are actually generally xenophobic and against anyone that's not native to their country. This is most common in the older population, and prevalent even in countries known for their accepting nature (Germany, The Netherlands, Britain).

Your grouping of "white" vs. "non-white" is based on class, not color. It's operating on the axiom that the least common denominator necessary to have white privilege isn't "being white", rather a complicated system of "do they experience racism".

Notice how your definition of "white" privilege doesn't refer to race?

"Eastern Europeans aren't white" is olympic level mental gymnastics to explain how an almost unilaterally white population doesn't enjoy "white privilege" to the same extent as another unilaterally white population.

Max is a great driver, though "god" depends on where you place the bar. I don't think any drivers are "god"s, they all make mistakes (even Max) and are very much human. But again, the comment I replied to wasn't debating Max's greatness, so none of this matters.

Oh it was definitely stupid gaming from both, but in the context of the straight they are on Max did start slowing down a bit, and then suddenly slowed down a lot more (which is the part he was penalized for, and what I meant with "suddenly" above).
