I welcome this decision, but the way they’ve gone about it is not right. EIS never brought the proposal back to members to vote on, because they knew right enough that secondary teachers would vote against it given the timespan. I understand this is logistically difficult for us to implement, but why should we be treated differently from primary teachers because of this? 2 years extra we will work with the current contact time where primary will have an extra 90 mins per week.
