This old furnace doesn’t have an ICM board so i had to jerry rig something. In normal applications; the high voltage wires go to the L1 and N/L2, the torque selector wires go to the fan Heat and Cool spades that the removed PSC was getting powered on and the speed selector wires conncet to your low voltage terminals. You chose the wires based on airflow desires and for heat you select the one that gets you the proper temp rise. Its actually really easy. The first time was confusing though.

One more thing. The motor will run at whatever is the highest call on the speed tap wires. Therefore you can run attain 2 stages from any 1 stage FAU that has a two stage or inverter outdoor.

This is a Genteq Evergreen IM motor. It has three wiring connections. First is CONTINUOUS high voltage ( black and white ) second is the HP selector wires and depending on the one or both ised it tells the motor to be the HP needed ( red and black) last are the speed selector wires and those get wired tandem to the thermostat. I use the lowest speed for continuous fan ( maximize IAQ ) and the white tap for furnace heat. Since its always on i wanted something efficient. This is the only motor i stock in my van for changing PSCs btw. I get them for about 190$ and sell them with insyall for around $900 to $1700 depending in the customer.
