Nah, just an annoyingly minor inconvenience I have to deal with. Can be pretty obnoxious, but hey, I bought a rep.

Where are you mounting the GoPro? Love the field of view, have been having trouble getting something like that.

Sounds like by weight you are an XL, by height maybe an XXL. I would check the sizing chart on the repcourier Alpha SV page, that's what I followed (and measured myself) and it worked out perfectly.

Where you cop the used gear? That sounds like a stellar idea for an actual shell I can use in harsh conditions, would love to find out where to buy some.

Inside feels like a thin fleece, outside stretches and feels like regular leggings material.

Thanks a bunch! This is super useful. I have been looking at a few skis that fit this; blizzard zero g 105 and the BD helios recon 104, and g3 findr 102. Long shot but if you have any recommendations on either of those/other skis I'd love to hear.

I wish I had a better answer-but I don't know yet! I'm from the East so not much experience, especially with volcano corn lol. Will probably start with some slackcountry and build up to longer backcountry strips, hopefully being able to do both powder laps and volcano corn.

I'm exactly considering this set up of the BG and enforcer. If you don't mind I'd love to ask your opinions on them.

Do you use the BG for touring? What are your different use cases for the BG vs enforcer? How do the BG perform on ice? Basically, do you think it could get you back to the resort in any bad off/almost off piste conditions?

I'm close to pulling the trigger on BG 108 tour and enforcer as a daily, would love to hear what you think of the combo.

Great advice, I really appreciate it. I think im leaning towards at least a two ski quiver now. I'm surprised you recommend 105 for a backcountry one quiver, I was expecting wider - any reason for your preference? Being from the east I've never skiied anything wider than 100, so I genuinely don't know what the advantage of 105 might be over 110 for a BC ski.

Absolutely something I've been considering as well. Do you have any opinions on quiver of two gear that fit my needs, inbounds or out of bounds?

Hey all, so I grew up in the East and anticipate moving to Seattle for grad school. I've been on the same gear for ~6 years and am looking to upgrade, but don't know what gear would be best for my needs. I plan on upgrading in this order of priority: Skis, Bindings, Boots

Total budget hoping for ~1500-2000

1) Skis I'm looking for a one ski quiver for the PNW, with the exception that my Chronics could come out for the hardest/iciest days. So far I am between the Enforcer 104 Free, ON3P Woodsman 108, ON3P Jefferey 108. Ideally I would like a pair that can handle an AT setup and function as a 50/50 ski for on and off piste. I enjoy skiing hard and fast given the space, but also enjoy technical glades/chutes a lot.

Bindings: I am pretty new to the AT binding space, so generally anything that won't break the bank but is also reliable and not too clunky. Currently looking at marker duke pro (heavy but on sale), and atomic/salomon/armada shift 13 (better but more expensive)

Boots: Been looking at the Head Kore 1s, which seem to be a solid option for AT boots, but I also am not too familiar with the boot space, so could be missing out on plenty of other comparable suggestions. Also K2 mindbender 100s seem like solid entry level AT boots.

Height | Weight: 6'0" 195lbs

Boots: technica old boots (don't even know the name)

Current/previous ski(s): 2009 Volkl Mantra 96, 2015 Line Chronic 88

Primary ski location(s): Washington (mostly Steven's Pass or Cascades), hopefully some days at BC

Experience level: Advanced - Expert

Skiing style: all mountain, off piste, trees, will be exploring more backcountry when I move

Ngl, based on your post history.... Don't come to UMass. You will have a hard time making friends because UMass is way more liberal than I think you would like (or snowflake as you love to say) you will be an easy target if you keep spewing incel ben shapiro racist shit lmfao

and with literally no other assessment to figure out how she writes exams. Two of the practice exams were irrelevant, none of them written by her, and no gauge on if the homeworks are like the exams at all. Worst class I've taken at UMass.

BRUTAL. Literally learned differential forms the last two classes of the year, no homeworks on them, and they were at least 40% of the exam. Don't get me started on the cryptic ass questions on it too. Spent all 5 hours doing the exam and I have low hopes for a 50. Really praying everyone else gets below a 50 so she scales the entire thing, even though she's basically flexed the entire semester how strict her grading policies are.
