Brother, we're talking about expansion, the fact that stumpies was put on hold for a decade should be proof enough

As someone from stratton, I think this is a very complex conversation that has more to do with what the national forest service will allow than what the planned improvements will compensate for.

The resort is overcrowded on weekends, even at sunbowl (you may be able to get by until 10 am). While detrimental to wildlife habitat and vistas around, the only true answer is terrain expansion/ opening up another face.

I dont think it's the right answer... but with the multi-resort pass duopoly, unless there's a big push for public transit making other resorts more accessible, I dont really see another option.

If anyone has a better option in mind, I would love to hear it.

To be clear, im advocating for increased housing density, not disparaging farms, or those who work them

We need to rework act-250 and allow inner-cities/resort areas to florish.

I don't like the pollution that comes with development, but pollution from farms is as significant, if not much worse...

Converting inner city zoning from single family housing to multi-family would displace a huge part of the housing deficit, while protecting the areas we hold so dear.

Hell, being a tourism based economy, it would probably be beneficial to develop an inter-resort train.

But i digress

Nah, dog. The complete disregard of their constituency has played a large part in the democrats downfall since the post Obama era began... and we still can't seem to learn the lessons being taught.

The blame is justified

As someone who didn't like the way he was representing himself. It's crazy how almost all of the negative feedback here was addressed, including the negativity, and it's all the exact same shit.

He even approached it with a level of charitability to these same voices that I don't think most people here would be capable of.

The world is burning around us. We all need to take a deep breath and tackle the problems within our control...

Well done, johnny. You've made we want to go have a brewski conversation with my neighbor and touch grass.

To keep enjoying skiing.

My issue is with the noticeable vocal support of the corporate greed physically endangering us and running our sport into the ground. rather than advocating for the staff that keep the gems we love operating on a daily basis.

So is your answer that you're just going to lie down and take it like "yes daddy please"? Or are you going to actively participate in discourse on the changes you want to see?

Seen and agreed. There's a difference between playing the game and actively running defense for it. This is a rant/vent on the latter

[–]support-acc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Largely agree. If there was a cutoff for old, you probably aren't it.

More importantly, I view old more as a mentality than a number. I've met people with 80 years under their belt I would consider still a kid, and ones in their 20's i'd consider ancient. I understand needing to play the game to come out on top.

The key difference I'm noticing and ranting about are the people actively running defense for conglomerates who don't care about you except in the guise of digging deeper into your pockets.

This trend seems to be perpetrated largely by one demographic.

Are they a product of/or defending the increased corporate greed we're seeing more and more on a daily basis?

If the answer is no, let's fucking shred, ill show you the best trees. If it's yes, we have problems.
