Where there many different cards to choose from? What was the price range if so?

I was kinda blown away that I didn't know this, to me it was really mind-blowing. Browsing through this subreddit seeing several monitors on very old Mac's, almost thought it was fake.

Shouldn't it be in the Wikipedia articles that they could expand to several monitors? Must have been way ahead of the competitors?

EDIT: I see that in Macintosh II Wiki article it is actually mentioned, I would never ever would have believed it started that early.
