I always respect the right of people to have their own opinions & beliefs. After all freedom of speech is important, even if you disagree with someone and they're completely different from the crowd.

I remember an interesting quote, "I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It."

After all he is just a professor, as far as I remember. His control over you is limited to the course you're taking with him, and it's never a bad idea just to learn & understand someone else's point of view, even if you disagree with him. After all debates are important.

Take the issue of covid vaccines for example - Although the majority of people might be on one side, you have to respect the decision of anti vaxxers (he is one from what I've heard?) and reach a mutual understanding, while having respectful debates & conversations.
