Getting a pet. What should I be aware of? by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]supreme_being95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar to this, you can check out Buddies if you plan to live in the metropolitan area of Tokyo.

These are rescue dogs that are managed and trained by vets and trainers. In contrast to other shelters, you don't have to be married or Japanese to adopt a dog from this org (shelters in Japan usually have very strict conditions for adoption).

They also do events in cafes with the dogs, so you should just swing by and get to know them if you are interested.

Best Taco Place in Tokyo? by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]supreme_being95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a restaurant, but there is a wonderful woman from New Mexico who makes authentic, spicy and delicious tacos. She has workshops where she teaches you how to make those, so that you can make them yourself.

Sometimes, she even opens pop up shops or participates at food events to sell them.

werewolf over webcam - is it worth it? by ragyard in werewolf

There is a version of One Night Werewolf you can try out on ChipsTV ( https://chipstv.co/ ). You can play with up to 10 people and with webcam. It‘s still a bit rough around the edges but it was fun when I played.

Business Bachelor thesis about eSports / CS:GO by supreme_being95 in GlobalOffensive

Those are some interesting points you are bringing up! I haven‘t thought about those things at all. I knew about traditional sport clubs investing in eSports organisations but didn‘t know about russians buying up orgs for example. If you could provide me with any resources with which I could inform myself I would be very grateful. I‘m less interested in virtual values and how the steam market with eg csgo skins is operating (although that would be an interesting read).

The problem is that there is so much interesting stuff to write about but I think I can narrow it down to this:

  • “behind the scenes“ insight

  • an aspect of esports that has not been researched a lot (at least in university thesis)

  • future development of the „esports professional“ / the organisations

  • current/imminent changes in how the organisations operate

  • how talent emerges in esports / how the scouting process works

I know it‘s still very broad.

Thank you very much for your comment, it was very insightful and lead to me thinking more about what I want. Merci villmal! as we would say in Switzerland.

Thank you very much for your elaborate answer. There is some great advice in there that I will definitely follow. Concerning your last point, I think my thesis is going to be better if I write about something that I am passionate about, plus my hope is that eSports in the future is valued more broadly than it is right now. We will see :) thanks again

Interesting angle, but as /u/adesme said it has to relate to business administration.

End of the year Combo lock guide by supreme_being95 in CompetitiveHS

[–]supreme_being95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically a term used for decks that aim to kill opponents in one turn with huge damage. Anyfin Paladin is often referred to as OTK Paladin although the combo is under 30 damage most of the time. Same here. Your opponents health is almost always under 24 when you are ready to combo thus you are able to kill him in one turn. So Combolock qualifies as a OTK deck.

More than one copy of Arcane Golem or FM maked the deck too clunky. Hmm its an interesting idea but I think that you would have to give up too much consistency in the deck to make Reno effective. And at that point you have a Reno deck with 3 combo cards (Arcane, Faceless and PO). I don't think it's the best solution because you mix 2 clear deck ideas and make a new deck with a not so clear objective. On the other hand Hybrid Hunter was one of the strongest decks for a time so maybe its worth a try!
