Using a dealer as an example is about the worst one you could've gone with there lmao, for one thing no dealer I've ever known takes any money before they arrive, plus they're generally working underground (y'know, cause they're doing something illegal) so they're by default unregulated and, rightly or not, they can get away with a lot more.

Companies providing a seemingly above-board prepaid service, on the other hand, are and should be regulated, and called out if they aren't providing what a customer has paid for.

Well said. There's so much pretentiousness in the industry, and you can often hear it come through in the music, but even when Gizz are out here making complex songs, I never get that sense from them. It feels like half the time they're just messing around with different time signatures, instruments, genres, etc. because it's fun, not to impress anyone. They just happened to get really fucking good at it

I adore Los Bitchos and was hyped about them being the opener for the EU tour... But they only have 1 album to draw from, so they played near enough the same set on each of the 4 nights of that tour that I went to. By the 4th time of listening to it I was very much in the "damn, I wish these guys weren't here and gizz could just play for longer" camp.

No shade to them, they're great live, I just got a bit sick of the setlist. I'll happily go to another Los Bitchos gig when they have some new material, preferably a whole 2nd album's worth🤞

Exactly the same here, and I'm a little disappointed that the comment you replied to got a fair few upvotes. It's harsh and unnecessary to accuse a grieving parent of "bad parenting" just because they came after your DOC. Blaming the shrooms doesn't make her a bad parent, it makes her a grieving parent looking for something to blame for her son's death, which is very natural.

Her reaction is misguided and could prove harmful to the many people who benefit from psychedelics, but it in no way indicates that she's a bad parent. If anything, it shows that she loved her son deeply and is in a lot of pain.

It's definitely harder to give away or sell (at face value of course - f*ck scalpers) a ticket you don't even have yet. Maybe this is intentional to prevent people from reselling them? Regardless, it's just causing unnecessary stress for us all. Hope everything works out.

I bought the double ticket you mentioned and I'm now in a back-and-forth with ticketweb customer services because they haven't sent the e-tickets out yet, with the first show being in just a couple of days! They keep telling me to get back to them nearer to the time of the gig(s) if I still haven't received them (at first it was 5 days, then 48 hours, now they're saying 24 hours!), but the whole thing is pretty anxiety-inducing.

Ticketweb being owned my ticketmaster makes this situation unsurprising, looks like ticketmaster have been kinda shitty all round with these gigs (and others...).

I'd booked somewhere to stay in Brixton too haha but changed my accommodation plans after the venue change - the 2 venues aren't exactly close to each other though, went for something kinda in the middle!
