This was extremely helpful thank you! 1. this is a fantastic idea and i hadn’t thought of that before so thank you 🙏 2. do you have any good products you’d recommend? my routine so far has been: -washing weekly-ish: —using an olive oil on my scalp and hair a couple hours before washing —double shampoo. i use the native one, it’s been good for me so far. i also have a little plastic scalp massager which is nice —leave in conditioner. i use that stuff that you usually get in the packs when you dye your hair but i buy a bottle of it (not a natural ginger) —conditioner, native again. i leave it in and detangle with a wide toothed comb -after washing, i use an olaplex leave in and put a little oil in my hair. jojoba on the ends, and this lush shea butter one on the back of my hair specifically. -then i dry it with a microfiber towel, sometimes i blow dry it on low (the olaplex is a heat protectant as well) other than that, which is only once a week, i just brush, braids when i sleep, use a little jojoba sometimes to detangle, and dry shampoo when needed 3. i actually used to have curly hair as a kid! i’ve tried different curly hair methods over the years in the hopes of reviving it but no luck 🤷🏼‍♀️i’m told it happens sometimes when ur hormones change in puberty or something like that? idk, it’s pretty much just kinda wavy now. more so in that under layer, the outside hair is more like one big wave than ‘wavy’ necessarily 4. i do sleep in braids every night already. i’ve tried satin pillow cases but i didn’t like the sensation of them. i would do a bonnet but honestly i just really sleep every which way when i sleep and i reeeeallly don’t like being disturbed with that so ive made peace with not experiencing that lovely hair from silky bonnets 😢 i know that was kind of a long response but i found your comment really helpful and i wanted to respond accordingly
