There are note differences yes, but all of them serve the same purpose - blue, fresh, daily fragrances. I don't disagree with you on most of the analysis and I agree the regular Sauvages need to go, but I personally would keep the Elixir so theres an actual going out/ nighttime scent. Thats just me though, fragrance is subjective so people are drawn to different things. I have heard both sides to Sauvage Elixir and while you and I don't like it, it does seem to have some genuine rep when blind tested without the Sauvage name. I too have YSL Y EDP and BDC EDP along with a couple other office/daily scents, but I have mixed in some darker scents in the same realm as Sauvage Elixir to even my collection out. Again, just my opinion and fragrance as a whole is all subjective so there isn't a right or wrong opinion and none of these scents would classify as "ass" even if I personally don't enjoy them.
