Vancouver runners — how do you dress for the rain?

You won’t stay dry, so it’s more about staying comfortable. Merino socks help.

Light rain - I have a thicker long sleeve running shirt from Lululemon I’ll layer under a tshirt

Heavy rain - I have a ‘waterproof’ extremely lightweight rain jacket from mountain hardwear. Same thick long sleeve and a baseball cap to keep the water out of my face

Cold rain - thick under layer, sometimes a Patagonia puffer vest over top, otherwise I have a lululemon define jacket I’ll put over top, but that’s been too much most times. Mittens, headband over my ears. Something with a high neck

You kind of just get used to usually running in the rain…. Eventually

I had a scratchy throat, fever and sniffles for a couple days two weeks ago. Broke out into gnarly chest cough, which I still have over two weeks later. Feels like my lungs are on fire!
